Three years ago I said I do! Although the hubby and I have been together since I was 13 years old! I had just given birth to Gavin. We had a June wedding planned originally but when we found out Gavin was coming we pushed the day back. While many were surprised we didn’t rush and push it forward I didn’t want to rush to the alter for one child when we weren’t willing to do that for Johnny. I wanted to enjoy myself although exchanging my dress in for a larger size wasn’t originally part of the plan. Luckily the place was willing since all sales were final and the dress was purchased before my pregnancy.
Even though its only been three years married I have been with him for 15 years all together. That also means I have spent more then half my life loving this man.

I didn’t think I would get it all done but I did!

Oh me oh my am I tired! Last night I stayed up super late working on orders! I had almost 100 wedding table numbers in different styles to make. All of them turned out to be double sided as well. I never thought it would take me so long to make them all but I had promised the buyers they would all be in today’s mail. A promise is a promise and they will be in the mail shortly! I also had a ton of credit card reporting to do from home for my other job. I thought it would only take me an hour or two to do and it turned out taking me twice that. So that certainly didn’t help either!
Tomorrow I will be working on “Thank you for being my Bridesmaid/Groomsmen” card sets for a past customer of mine. It makes me happy when I have returning customers :) It lets you know that they truly loved your work. This bride in particular has been good for me because she has made me think out of the box of my normal work for her requests. She is the bride that inspired these beautiful table numbers.
The cards will be based of them as well. I at one point hope to make some coordinating items to go with some of the items I already make for some of my wedding/baby/birthday stuff and its great when the customers push you to do it as well. Plus I love custom requests because it helps you not only see what people are interested in but it also helps you get out of your comfort box and make a style all its own. I need to learn how to make templates though. My printer and I are so not friends and I use a basic word template for all of my stuff right now which makes centering wording rather difficult. The first template I hope to make are place card templates because I would love to make coordinating favor tags and place cards for all of my wedding table numbers. I have been secretly working on the favor tags but I don’t have any to show at this point. I have the photoshop CD for the computer. A friend of mine thought it would be a great system for me to learn and I agree. However it is such a hard program to learn and the classes to learn it are a few hundred bucks a pop.
On another note…
My 2 year old had his re-certification for his speech therapy yesterday and I am happy to announce that he has passed all the testing and will be released from the program in 45 days. Its hard to think that just a year ago he wasn’t speaking at all and not he is passing the tests with flying colors! He even topped the tests for all his other skills.

Champagne Anyone?

So here is yet another one of my custom requests that I have recently made. Also available for purchase in my Etsy Shop.

Champagne and Ivory seem to be all the rage lately. When we went to the wedding in Naples in November those were the brides wedding colors. as well. I used shimmer paper because what bride doesn’t like a bit of shimmer on her specail day?
I like how these are so simple yet still very elegant!
And aren’t the coordinating place/escort cards great too?

New Mini Tuxedo’s!

So January has been BY FAR the busiest I have been in awhile. I have had a lot of request for custom and personalized wedding items. And some have been a bit out of my realm but its good…I sometimes need the challenge.
So I recently had a bride contact me about making her some nice black & white only table numbers. After a few different samples, these are what we both agreed on.
I think they are darling and I love how they look like mini tuxedo wedding table numbers!
I can’t wait to try and put together some coordinating pieces like a save the date, invitation, and place cards. I am going to be working on sets this 2009!
And these are my newest creation which will be debuting on a new line shortly. But they are great on their own as well. Even scattered around a table by themselves!
Oh! And they are also available in my Etsy store :)
