I know this post took a bit. I came home so exhausted from BogHer12 that it took a few days to get any energy back and get use to my new laptop since TSA smashed my old one. Thanks again United.
As you know I went to BlogHer thanks to my awesome sponsor Contours Baby! Sarah and I just loved wearing our shirts all over!
I handed out 50 of these USB’s while I was there. I couldn’t believe how fast they went! I have to admit I loved having so many people come find me as a result.
*I am still waiting for three winners*
Since I got in early I was able to peek around a bit before everything really got crowded.
While I was far from fond of the food served at the conference (which was cold, gross, and failed to be properly marked for allergies)….
The speakers were amazing. I got to sit and watch Martha talk!!!!
As far as private parties go I got to reconnect with so many of my friends and meet new ones at Mom Central my first night in. Their ‘First Drinks On Us’ party was a blast and the perfect way to start off Blogher12!
My first morning there started with Hallmark in the amazing atrium suite. The view was very distracting as it over looked the upper east side and central park. Of course having a beautiful suite decorated for Christmas right down to the tree was awesome to be in. The new products have me super excited too!
I loved their idea of taking all your Christmas cards and making placemats out of them!
Here I am at Fisher Price‘s party celebrating their new Servin’ Surprises Kitchen with Kristin and Sarah!
You can see me here in the play zone are with Lilac City Mama‘s precious daughter. She may or may not have been the first baby I bumped into my first night in and I may or may not have started crying on her for missing my Sweet Sawyer.
One of my favorite parties was Mom Trends party with Zutano. I love love love this company and getting to know more about them was definitely interesting. Did you know their products are all made in the good ol’ USA?
Sawyer is just as much a fan of the brand and we’re both seriously coveting that orange jacket that will debut in their upcoming spring line for 2013! Zutano has been some of the best quality made baby clothing we’ve tried!
The party was held at FAO Schwartz which was awesome to visit itself.
The view from the Sweet Suite party roof top in Times Square was amazing. It was in the Viacom building where MTV’s TRL was taped years ago! Of Sweet Suite was awesome and there were so many brands there to meet and talk too! Of course sitting out on the roof top with good company eating delicious fresh fruit frozen yogurt.
There were lots we did that I didn’t get photos of that were great. One of my favorites that I failed to take photos at was the Glamorous Moms Luncheon at the Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse! The food was best I had at BlogHer! I also had a great time at Mom Trends other party for Lands End. The theme was back to school and I loved the different set ups we had. It was WAY TOO HOT which sadly made things to the point of being almost unbearable.
Sarah & I also went out and wandered around every chance we could. We found good street carts and even reasonably priced good food!
Since my schedule was really busy the hubby didn’t drive down until Sat. He hung out at the hotel until I finished my schedule for the day. It totally rocked that i had my hair and make up done from the Lands End party earlier that night.
We went and had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe in the middle of Times Square. It’s actually under ground instead of up high. Both the food AND the service were unbelieveably good.
We then wandered around and looked in all the stores.
Times Square is insanely busy on a Sat. night. When Gavin saw this photo he was so jealous that Daddy & I met Mario & SpongeBob {giggle}.
On the day we drove home we decided to take the scenic route like we did in 2010. We made sure to go see the new Twin Towers being built.
We also saw Ground Zero.
We drove by the Empire State Building. We went up it in 2010.
We went by the Brooklin Bridge too!
Now that we’re home I’m still sorting all the swag. I didn’t have to give much up since I drove.
Some of my favorites were the Lands End backpack, My Zutano Gift Card and slippers for Sawyer, the actual bag from Social Soiree, The playset from Fisher-Price, and my comfy new slippers from Iconix!
What were your favorite parts of BlogHer?
Looks like you had an amazing time. I wish I would’ve gotten to chat with you a bit instead of just waving at you as we passed at parties! I didn’t get to do any sight seeing while there and want to go back!! I loved NYC! Hope to see you next year and to actually chat with you!
