Things That Make Scents is a candle company founded in 2002 by Janine who was sick of all the soot stains coming from her paraffin based candles. She discovered that soybean based candles were not only cleaner but greener too! All of their wicks are either made from hemp or cotton and burn up to 50% longer then leading non soy based candles. Before our fire my mother in law had given me this adorable little dog. Not a pet dog but this wax dog. I remember not knowing at first what to think of it, but then once I knew what it was I thought it was such a great gift idea! Are you in need of a really unique gift idea? I was lucky enough to test out two of their lovely candles. I received an Almond Biscotti Jar Candle that smelt Divine! I also received a Soy Cupcake Candle that I have to admit is so cute I just couldn’t bring myself to burn it. The Almond Biscotti Jar candle was another story. I burn it in my kitchen and it smells so good. I love the simple design that can fit into any room decor.
