It was a no brainer to me when Gavin was approaching 40 pounds on where to look for his booster. So when I was asked to do another review with Britax I thought the Parkway SGL would be perfect! I saw it when I was at the ABC Expo and I was able to try installing it in the car when I was there. I was impressed with it’s ease of just clicking it in the car and being ready to go.

The Britax Parkway SGL is available in four different fabric options.

- Color-Coded Vehicle Belt Guides indicate the path and positioning of the vehicle lap and shoulder seat belt
- Removable Back allows the booster seat to easily convert to a backless booster while maintaining safety of SecureGuard

The head rest has true side impact protection. The extra protection makes sure that ensures that if you get in an accident your child won’t flail around. Instead the seat will help keep the body aligned and keep them from getting whiplash or worse injuries.
True Side Impact Protection distributes crash forces, shields from vehicle intrusion, contains the head and body, and keeps the head, neck and spine “in true” or aligned, to limit injury
120-pound Weight Capacity for safety and comfort as your child grows
Both sides of the neck rest have a slot for the seat belts so that regardless if you place the seat in any position it will fit properly.
There are arm rests on both sides too. Here you can also remove the back if you choose and make it just a regular booster seat. The seat itself has extra cushion to make sure their butts don’t hurt for extended rides.
This is the first booster sear that I’ve seen with the SecureGuard feature. Moving your child out of the safety of a five point harness brings up so many worries. I love that this little device can help bring me more of a sense of security then other boosters. I love that it works regardless if you keep the back on or not.
SecureGuard works with the vehicle safety belt to prevent the child from sliding under the lap-belt portion of the safety belt (submarining) during impact, thus minimizing the risk of abdominal injury
Of course it still comes with the things you need like a retractable cup holder on both sides of the booster seat that can hold your child’s drinks and snacks.
Now I saved the best part for last. When I say this booster is unlike any others I mean it. With most booster seats what happens if you get in an accident and your child isn’t in the car? Their booster seat will most likely go flying right? Well, not the Parkway SGL. This booster is secured right to the seat. With two clicks and a pull (literally!) this booster ain’t going anywhere!!!
ISOFLEX Flexible Lower LATCH Connection System secures the booster seat to the vehicle, preventing it from becoming a projectile when not in use, and stabilizes it during a crash. The PARKWAY SGL can be secured in seconds from either side of the booster seat with two clicks and a pull.
If for some reason you feel its loosened in any way the “pull” feature is right on the side so you can check it any time!
Gavin just loves his new “big boy” seat. It fits him perfectly! I love it because he is happy and because the Parkway SGL takes all my fears away going from a five point harness over to a booster.

It is now recommended to not wear thick winter coats in your car seat. Remove before buckling or wear polar fleece instead.

The Boulevard 70 CS looks like a great car seat for birth – 70lbs.
I like the advocate 70 cs because it can be used rear facing from 5 to 40 pounds and forward facing from 1 year and 20 pounds, up to 70 pounds, that’s a BIG kid.

I like the Britax Boulevard, we own one right now for my little girl, it converts from rear facing to forward facing and I love how easy it is to adjust the straps and headrest in one little turn of the knob on the back of the seat. Voila!

I was very impressed with all of their car seats – so much emphasis on safety! I liked the frontier 85 for how adaptable it is and that it also incorporates the head safety each of their seats stresses. My daughter-in-law really needs one for my little 3yr old grand daughter who has an 8mo baby sister right behind her. This would be wonderful for them!!

I like the frontier 85 because its a harness to booster combo.
I also like the Combination Harness-2-Booster. It can accommodate children forward facing only in harness mode from at least 2 years and 25 pounds, up to 85 pounds. The seats can then convert to a belt-positioning booster and accommodate a child to 120 pounds.

I love it because it is usable with preemies and tiny babies. Both of my babies have been very little and I love that they make ones that work for everyone.

I like Britax Frontier 85 apart from this SGL. The biggest selling point for me is 5-point harness up to 85lbs. I have a 7-yo boy, and when it comes to his safety, I cannot worry and pay attention to enough. It is unfortunate that not many make a high-back booster that is equipped with harness. I understand that as kids grow older and bigger, they want more freedom and all. BUT, what’s there for feeling like a big kid and “free”, if their safety is compromised? I wish there’d be more selection available for 5-ptsd harness booster car seats for “older kids”.
Another car seat I love is the BOULEVARD 70 CS because of the 5 point harness and safety controls it has.

I love the Britax Marathon. We have three of them for our little boys…but my oldest soon needs to move to a booster. The Parkway looks awesome!
We currently own the Britax Marathon seat for our son, which we have used with him since birth. It was top-rated when we bought it and now see why. It seems to be one of the most comfortable seats available and will last him for a full five years until we need to move him to a booster seat. Thanks for the giveaway.

I like the Chaperone infant seat . My little guy was 4 lb 4.5 oz when he was born so I expect the next to be small as well. We had to use the add in cushions and rolled up towels to get my little to fit and I hope not to have to do that again!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Britax seats. I am mom to a 4 year old and we have 2 Roundabouts (Daddy’s car & Grandma’s car) and a Marathon (mommy’s car)!!!
These are the best seats and I have had my eye on this booster. My kiddo is on the small size so he’s still fitting into the Marathon, but it’s almost time to move up. This seat is, by far, the one I covet on the Britax site!

Another seat I would benefit from would be the MARATHON CLASSIC. I chose this car seat for the 5 pound to 65-pound Weight Capacity for safety and comfort through the toddler years offering a long line of use. It is easy to clean and has Energy-Absorbing Base deforms in the event of a crash to absorb impact forces. Many wonderful product features.

I like the Frontier. We have it now and I just like that I know he is safe in it. It is also very comfortable for him and he can do the buckles himself. It is super easy to adjust the straps. We are looking to move him to a booster and the little missy to his old Frontier.

I like the BOULEVARD 70… besides their well know safety features, we have this one in my car and I like that the center buckle between my sons’ legs is a lttle further out than which makes it much easier to buckle my son in.

THe BOULEVARD 70 CS. Im actually on the hunt for a new convertible car seat for my 4 month old. Getting her out of that newborn seat! THese are a bit pricey but a car seat is a great investment. I dont want to wish later that I had bought the best.

I like the Marathon because they can be used for tiny babies, but can go up through much bigger kids. I also like that they can be used rear-facing so much longer than so many others on the market.

I am a bit fan of the Roundabout. It has been a great carseat! Now that my boy is a ‘big boy’, sure would love the Parkway booster. Our cheapie booster leaves me feeling less than secure.

I like the Advocate 70CS because it has such a huge weight range, 5-70 lbs, and it has the quick adjust harness so you can easily change the harness straps.

I love the Roundabout 50 because of its comfort, safety, and durability; we received one as a gift at our baby shower and we are sorry our son has to move on from it. This booster seat though would be welcomed, and would ease mommy’s mind greatly. 🙂

I would like the Frontier 85 as it look comfortable for my son. He is on the smaller side so he isn’t ready for just a regular booster. I think this would give him the protection he would need.

I would buy the Roundabout 50… my kids need a little more comfort in their booster seats and this one seems tohave it! It also looks durable and safe.
