Just like that Christmas is over. The kids just went back to school after having a little over a week off. I wanted to make sure the kids didn’t live in front of their screens so we planned lots of fun activities. Since most of the vacation landed after the holiday we wanted to find some fun thing to make that weren’t holiday themed. This snow slime was perfect and a huge hit with my boys!
Slime is relatively easy to make, lasts forever, and is fun for all age groups. It’s just a combination of glue, water, and borax.

At this point, I highly recommend just using your hands and knead until it is no longer sticking to your hands. We also added more glitter at this point, probably about 1/4 cups more. Work it in even though your slime is pretty well-formed. We found that at first, it will seem like you just can’t really see it but when you go back to it a few hours later it will stand out more.
Once it’s formed you can play with it right away or toss it in the fridge for a while to make cold. Snow is cold, making the slime cold adds another fun sensory to this project. Refrigerate for up to one week, possibly longer. Store in gallon size bag when not in use.
We have played with this slime so many times over the past week I lost count. We’ve pulled out plastic silverware, cookie cutters, and just using our hands was so fun! It oozes and stretches and cleans up well. At one point Sawyer’s clothing was covered but I tossed them in the wash and it came right off. We can’t wait to make different kinds of slime now!

Store in gallon size bag when not in use. To use just remove from bag.
*Please note that if you get slime on your clothing or any cloth material it can ruin it so please be careful and wear a smock if your little one is messy.
That is a really cute idea.Looks like your kids had fun!
I remember playing with slime as a young girl. It was always so fun. I might have to make some with my girls sometime soon 🙂

This looks like so much fun! Love it!
Awesome for a rainy or snowy day! Love this! My kids would really have so much fun getting to make this. Super cool!
This recipe looks great, except that it contains Borax, which is potentially toxic. Any recipes without Borax for the littles?
