Hayden, my 5 year old, absolutely LOVES super heroes. It seems like all day long he is in a epic battle with some evil doer. Or he is pretending to be the evil guy and running from the good guys. I jumped at the opportunity to review Hasbro’s new Marvel Super Hero Mashers and knew that Hayden would be in super hero heaven! Not only are they really cool action figures, but you can also break apart your favorite super heroes and then create a whole new super hero!
Mash up your hero, and then crack up your friends! Hasbro’s MARVEL SUPER HERO MASHERS feature your favorite MARVEL Super Heroes and Villains with completely interchangeable parts and accessories, so kids can create their ultimate (or ultimately silly!) hero. Would a hero with SPIDER-MAN’s body and HAWKEYE’S head shoot arrows or webs? With MARVEL SUPER HERO MASHERS, the possibilities are colossal for you to make YOUR mash-up! Thirteen figures will be available in this assortment in 2014, featuring favorite Marvel characters like CAPTAIN AMERICA, SPIDER-MAN and GREEN GOBLIN. Each figure is sold separately and comes with an accessory.
Hayden was immediately so excited to break open his new Super Hero buddies and then create his own. We received Captain America and the Hulk. He quickly switched out a few arms, heads, and legs and he now had 2 new Super Heros that he named Mr. Shield, and Mr. Blue. I have absolutely loved watching him play with these. His imagination is always going and he is able to create all sorts of things with the Marvel Super Hero Mashers. The Hulk is especially awesome because he has a cannon that actually shoots!
Each MARVEL SUPER HERO MASHERS BATTLE UPGRADE figure comes with multiple Battle Gear pieces, including a launching missile, for even more crazy combinations! With MARVEL SUPER HERO MASHERS, the possibilities are colossal for you to make YOUR mash-up! Seven figures will be available in this assortment in 2014, featuring favorite Marvel characters like HULK, THOR and VENOM. Additional Mash up arms included with Wave 2 figures. Each figure sold separately.
The pieces break apart really easily but can be tricky to put together sometimes. Hayden struggles every now and then to get the heads on, but it makes great practice for those fine motor skills. Hayden also really likes that the head can move up and down as well as side to side. The arms and legs also bend and move quite a bit, so he can aim the Hulk’s cannon to shoot at the bad guy.
Hasbro has a whole line of Marvel Masher characters so your little super heroes can keep on playing and imagining! I know your kids will love mashing up their very own super heroes. You can find Marvel Super Hero Mashers at retailers and on their website. Which super heroes would you want to start mashing up?

I have girls, so we are totally not into these toys. But I literally laughed as I scrolled down looking at the mashup pictures! I might have to get some as a gift just because they are so fun!
My 3 year old would love this. He’s finally getting into the super hero/action hero thing!
