Do any of your little scientists love Sid the Science kid as much as mine does? Hayden loves learning with Sid. Like Sid, Hayden is constantly asking questions. I am actually in the middle of making him a “question book,” because there are times I just can’t answer his questions. Like when I’m nursing and trying to get sister to sleep, or because I have no idea how to answer his question and I need to google it later!
The DVD Sid’s Pet Project was perfect for Hayden. He is OBSESSED right now with wanting a dog. He desperately wants one and talks about getting a pet often. His love of asking questions, science, and having a pet was all put together in one fun little movie.
I especially appreciated that Sid helped teach what a pet needs and how you have to take care of it. I don’t think Hayden had any idea how much work a pet was. He is probably more excited now about the idea of a dog than before. I guess we will see if Santa brings a puppy under our tree this year. Hayden also learned about why sleep is so important, what a life cycle is, and what allergies are.
