I had never heard of My Beating Heart until the company reached out to me but this is one of those products that makes you smack you head and say ‘How come I’ve never thought about this’ because it make so much sense. When both boys were baby’s they simply adored having those little stuffed animals that clipped to the crib and imitated the sound of the mother’s beating heart.

The My Little Beating Heart is a soft and huggable heart with a soothing heartbeat you can actually feel. It’s designed to help small children relax, become more comfortable in their environment or on trips, and take delicious naps.
The first thing that got my attention about the My Beating Heart was the size. These aren’t small by any means. This is a good sized plush that can easily be hugged. I had to take a picture next to a pen because I missed the size measurements on the site and had thought it would be much smaller.
It’s super soft and fuzzy. It reminds me of my sift fuzzy jammies I pull out in the winter.
If you need to access the inside for any reason you can from the back. There is super tough velcro holding it closed so you don’t really have to worry about your child getting in and out of it. I like it because it means you can toss it in the washer when it gets dirty so if it becomes special to them you know no matter where they drag it you can get the germs off it.
Above you can also see that there is a loop at the top that also has velcro on it. If you’d like to attach it to something you can. Inside it is a regular pillow with sensors showing through on both sides. These are how you feel the beats through the heart and have the vibrations.
There is a zipper on the side that lets you activate the pillow. You turn it on and off by the tag but you can switch it on and off by the box. At first I thought it was silly that the tag went into the pillow but then realized there is a slit in the cover you just need to pull it through.
I can definitely see how this heart can be comforting. Its more of a vibration and vibration sound then that annoying recording sound the baby ones have. This a great option for kids that enjoyed the baby ones but outgrew them.
