We are not newcomers to the name Backyard Safari Outfitters. We’ve been playing with their toys for years! Their toys are quality made even through all the abuse my two boys put them through. So when Team Mom let us know that they were sending Backyard Safari Outfitters toys are way we were pretty excited.
We received the Cargo Vest, Bug Vacuum, and the Mega View Periscope. The boys were thrilled. The first thing we tried out was the cargo vest. Gavin said it made him an official Diego Helper and wouldn’t take it off for anything. My 9 year old was disappointed there wasn’t one in the box his size. This cargo vest is far past toy quality. Daddy actually wants to make it an official fishing jacket.
The Mega View Periscope took us a bit to figure out. At first I thought it was supposed to be lifted but knew something was up when it was bigger then my child when it was pulled. I wish it was a little more clear it took us a bit to figure out that you can actually dip this into the water and see. We haven’t had a chance to test it in the water yet but this photo will help you better understand it’s use. The handles are good size which is great for little hands.
The Bug Vacuum is constantly being fought over between the boys. It sucks up all the little critters those boys can find. The two different sizes are great because it lets them pick up little bugs and big bugs too. The problem is no one ever wants to be the one to let the big bugs out.
