Wilton Makes Good Birthday’s Great with their Giant Cupcake Pan & 38 Count Cupcake Stand – Review & Giveaway! {Ended}

Wilton. It’s a name I’ve trusted for years to do all my baking. Go into my cabinets and you’ll see that every pan I own is a Wilton Pan. However, I’ve never owned any of their Non-Stick Cast Aluminum Bakeware or Specialty Pans. I’ve always seen the Dimensions® Giant Cupcake Pan in the stores but thought how in the world would I do that!

Then I was offered a chance to do just that! When the Dimensions® Giant Cupcake Pan arrived I couldn’t wait to give it a try. I was also nervous that I would mess it up and my title as the Cupcake Queen would be lost.

I was nervous about it sticking in the pan and I was nervous about cooking it all the way through. Johnny and I decided that we wanted to make Nanny a big cupcake for her birthday! It came out awesome though! Remember this picture I posted as my Wordless Wednesday? That day my mailbox filled up with tons of questions about this pan so I thought I would try and answer them here.
How many boxes of cake did it take?
I used 2 boxes but had some batter left over. Definitely needed more then one box though.
How long did it take to cook?
It took about an hour. I used a long cake tester and checked on it frequently.
Was it hard to get out?
Nope, slid right out. It did recommend spraying it even though it said non-stick. I didn’t want to take any chances since I waited till the last minute to make it. I sprayed it lightly and it slid out no problem.
Did it go together easily?
Yes! I had more better then I needed but I wanted it to come up and over. I used a bread knife to cut and level the 2 pieces so I could have them lay flat.
Did you use anything to adhere them together?
No, but you could put frosting in between if you felt the need.
Did you make them for everyone?
Since it was on Thanksgiving it was the only one I made. If I made it for a party the birthday person would get this and I, personally, would make small ones for everyone else 🙂
Were you able to slice it easily?
Yes, I’m glad I took this photo! When you get to less then half the cake it does come a little unstable.
I also got to try out their Cupcakes ‘N More® 38 Count Large Dessert Stand! I have *always* wanted one of these! I make cupcakes for everything. Sometimes you just want to show them off a little. If you visit the Wilton website you’ll see tons of great ideas to use this for things other then cupcakes!
I used the cupcake stand for Johnny’s birthday party and it was a huge hit with both the kids and the adults! It looked so pretty I almost didn’t want to give any of the cupcakes out!
The cupcakes easily rested on the holders and it was super easy to clean in the spots that got frosting on it. Its quality made and very sturdy. I had no worries about it falling or tipping with 30 kids running all around!

We are super happy with all of our Wilton Baking Products!
