Having Fun While Teaching About Saving Money With The Kids Wealth Program

We have been using the Kids Wealth program for a few months now to teach Hayden all about money. He is slowly starting to understand the importance of saving and what money really is! It has been so eye-opening for him to see the value of money. The Kids Wealth program is created for kids ages 4-12 years old. The program helps teach kids how to use money in the real world.

When your kiddo receives their Kids Wealth kit it will include their very own Calendar, Kids Guide, Money Kit, Stickers, Kids Agreement, Age Tracker Booklet and Money Tracker. There is also a parents guide for you that helps you walk your child through the program step by step. The Kids Wealth program is so easy to adjust and modify to what works best for your family. It is so flexible and an easy program to follow. Hayden has learned about so much about money and finances. With this awesome program I have been able to teach him the importance of money, budgeting, and saving money.  I know that if we keep up these finance habits with him he will be able to better manage his money as he grows up to be an adult.

Hayden has learned so much about money by using the kid’s guide! It is such a fun activity booklet with tons of activities, and fun characters. There are easier activities like matching colors, and harder ones like adding up coins. The kid’s guide has been such a big help teaching him what each coin is and how much it is worth. It also helps me build upon his math skills that he is learning at school like addition. Best of all Hayden loves doing his booklet because it is fun!

Now that we have done the program a few months he has really started to save some money! It has been so empowering for him to see the benefits of saving. He keeps a total on the back of all of his “money wallets.” The Kids Wealth program helps kids divide their money into 5 categories. We agreed to pay Hayden $10 at the beginning of every month as long as he is doing well in school, obeying and helping around the house. He is the most obedient and sweet child on earth so my husband and I are more than happy to pay him at the beginning of the month. Especially since what we are paying him is helping him learn and build great habits. 10% of his $10 goes to the angel wallet. This money can be donated to our church, charities, benefits or other worthwhile causes. 30% goes into his wealth wallet. This helps teach him the importance of paying himself first. 20% goes into the plan account right now he is saving for a really cool Star Wars Lego set. 20% goes into the learn wallet. Hayden has a book fair coming up and will use this to buy a new book! 20% goes to the fun wallet.

The fun wallet has been a big hit this month. For his fun money he really wanted to buy some ice cream cones that he spotted at the grocery store. He is so sweet and wanted to get them for him and his little sister Halli. Hayden was so excited to surprise her when he brought them home. I love that the Kids Wealth program also lets kids have fun with money. Because money can be fun! It can be so empowering to save your money, but it can also be empowering to spend it on “wants.” It is so great that the Kids Wealth program helps teach kids to have that balance.

Wow, this is wonderful! I’m sure many parents would like to teach about saving money, but having a structured arrangement that is tried and proven is perfect! A perfect gift that is well worth it!
