When I think of sending a personalized message to someone this time of year one of my first thoughts is Hallmark. They always know just what to say. Well, now they know just what you should say. They have fifteen great recordable storybooks that you can give to children to read over and over and over again and hear that special persons voice read to them.
With so many choices and great titles to choose from picking which title I wanted was the hardest part of it all. I decided I’d love a book that my boys could listen to year round. When I go away and leave Gavin on overnight trips either for my blog or with my hubby Gavin makes me write “Hugs & Kisses” on his calendar so he can have a piece of me with him every night I’m away. I love that this book can give him so much more then that. The title ‘All The Ways I Love You’ was the perfect title for this purpose.
The illustrations and words are so sweet and soft and get the message of pure love across. Here is what the inside pages look like:
To record your book the directions are super simple. Just open the book and push record. It will walk you through each page. I placed mine on the floor and laid next to it. What I really liked was that I didn’t realize the dedication page in the front was recordable and after recording the whole book I went back to fix it thinking I was going to record the whole thing and it let me just do that one page without erasing the rest.
When you are done recording your storybook unscrew the recording box and flip the switch to “lock”. If you look closely all the areas are marked on the book I just labeled them for easier viewing. The book came with batteries so I didn’t even need to supply those. After you replace the cover you can listen to the book over and over and over again.
The only thing I would like to note is there is no volume control. It’s loud, louder then I’d like it to be sometimes. Gavin loves listening to it. At night if I was away I’d love for him to listen to it quietly in his room without disturbing anyone else. If there was a switch to lower it he’d be able to listen to it anytime.

I’d love to get all of them for my grandson, who’ll be born in a couple of days (yay!) and who will be living in Europe for the next too-many years.
