13 Things to help get traffic to your blog:1. Entrecard.
Not to mention the countless amazing blogs I have found because of it!

2. Firefox
This may not get you traffic but many blogs load faster and easier on it. If you use IE instead of Firefox I suggest you change, you’ll be much happier!
3. Once you switch to firefox grab the entrecard tool bar. I gave you the link for that in those directions too…I could NEVER drop 300 a day without it!
4. Drop on your inbox first! These are most likely people who do the same. If you return the favor you’ll have more faithful droppers!
5. Visit the Etsy Forums
They are a lively bunch and even if you don’t have any interest in shopping or running a store there is a world of wisdom or there….not to mention tons of opportunity to advertise your blog!
6. Start visiting blogs!
Seeing other blogs will encourage you to do things with your own. Make friends with a few other blogs you really like! Find the right people and they can really help you….D&F I hope I can help you back soon!
7. Leave comments
People like getting comments right? Then give them too! Plus, no one knows you were there if you don’t leave any traces!
8. Get the music off your site or off auto start.
Truthfully, I loved my playlist and thought so should everyone else that came to my blog. Found out it was the main reason people weren’t sticking around. Just because you like it doesn’t mean I do….or as I found out…many people are at work or school sneaking on…your music could get them in trouble or prohibit them from visiting!
(also entrecard doesn’t allow it)
9. Don’t always post about the same things. Mix it up. I love Etsy blogs….but don’t make every post about your work…I want to know about you!
10. Be personal.
I found out that people weren’t liking the lack of personal info I was giving. My hubby doesn’t like our info on the internet and I try my best to respect that. But I like you guys too…so I’ve learned to lighten up a bit….I’m back to calling my boys by their names LOL!
11. Get rid of the toys.
Nobody likes waiting 10 million years for a blog to load. The more toys the longer it takes.
I hate also when my arrow from my mouse turns into a magical wand that blinks…however I’m a sucker for feeding the koi fish LOL!
12. SPELL CHECK
Seriously, there is nothing worse then a bunch of words spelled wrong. And, if you’re looking for reviews and such….companies don’t like their name spelt wrong for google’s purposes…or any purpose for that matter! Your blog has a built in spell check…use it before you post.
13. Pictures
We all like them, use them….but not bad ones!
I know I’m no star at this but in the last 6 weeks or so I have been really looking and analyzing all of this and wanted to share it all with you!
Oh and couple other tips that I recommend. Put a stat counter on your blog….sitemeter is a good one for beginners! Also there are many things you can do on your own without paying other people if you take your time. I’ve done this whole blog on my own….I’ve had a little help finding the codes or understanding them at times….but great directions are out there 😉 I promise.

Great tips! I do a lot of those things but some are new. I agree with the music thing. Nothing makes me close a window quicker than music while I am at work!
