When I first became a mom I was the first of my friends to have a baby. I was young and I felt like I didn’t have very many people around me that I could connect with. My mom found an online forum when we were looking for nursery ideas and sent me the link. By the time I had him I had connected with these moms and actually grew to rely on them.
Fast forward thirteen years and two more babies later and guess what? Those women are still in my life. I’ve never met a single one of them but we’ve shared hardships, joys, Christmas cards and even photos of our children before the days of Facebook. We actually even made a community cookbook once! If it wasn’t for one of those women my first Christmas on my own as a single mom wouldn’t have happened and when my house burned down those same women rallied together and sent amazing care packages
The forum has been down for years and it makes me sad that there won’t be other moms to build those relationships but I’m glad to hear there’s a new site perfect for all moms to meet and connect called Moms.com.
You just share small moments here and there in your life. Once registered you can leave updates to share with all your friends. People can follow you to make sure they get all your latest updates and photos. You can check out my latest mom moment above sharing my sweet moment watching Sawyer sleep.
Have you ever tried to connect with moms around you? Another feature I really like is that you can find local people and people around the same age so you. Just make sure to fully fill out your profile so people can check in and see a glimpse of you. I love how they let you personalize your page with a photo and you even get to give each of your kids little photos too!
Who do you want to meet? Who would you love to connect with?
