Gavin is my gamer. He loves games, videos, and animation. He’s often using my ipad so he can go online to view videos. Problem between both YouTube and Netflix I feel like I have to hover over him so that he can enjoy his videos and I can know that he isn’t going to land on something inappropriate. Sadly, even if he sticks to the simple searches that I say are okay people out there like to tag things so they will still show up.
Do you know what I recently learned? You can make playlists!!! How cool is that! I love this because Gavin and I can go in and look up lots of our favorites and then make him a playlist he can go through on his own knowing that they are all okay to watch and I don’t need to stand so closely.
LEGO’s You Tube channel rocks! If you haven’t had a chance to check it out yet I highly recommend it! We’ve been checking out for a few weeks now and we love all the many options they have! You can watch their favorite videos in Themes, Club TV Shows, LEGO Brand, Designer Videos, Video Games, Board Games, Fan Creations, & TV Spots! Gavin’s personal favorites are LEGO Brand & Video Games.
1. Visit Youtube.com/LEGO and watch one of your favorite videos with your kids.
2. Click on ‘Video Options’.
3. Select ‘Add to Playlist’.
4. Sign-in using your YouTube login (it may already be set up).
5. Add your selected video to an existing playlist or create a new one.
Pretty easy, huh? Now what are you waiting for? Head on over and set up your own child’s playlist so they too can watch their favorites easily. While you are there make sure to subscribe to their channel so you never miss any new videos that they add!
