Coffee and I are BFF’s. If you even know me just a little, that is a fact you would know. I live by coffee. I don’t function until I start my day with coffee. Makes you want to sing “Best part of waking up is Folgers in my cup!” as you make your way down stair to the coffee pot. Now that I think of it, that little tune has been around almost my entire life- 32 years to be exact. It’s a tune I’ve heard my parents and grandparents sing. It’s one we all know. It’s one we’re all familiar with.

This year the Folgers Jingle Contest is on again to find a way to make the jingle yours! Become a part of the tradition: You could win a mentoring session with Grammy® Nominated Country Music Artist Chris Young and—$25,000! How awesome would that be? If you check out the Folgers Jingle Contest website, you can even watch all the finalist and past winner submissions. I may have lost an hour there because there were so many that were so good!

This year Folgers® has teamed up with country music singer-songwriter Chris Youngto. Together they hope to encourage aspiring singers to create their own version of the loved Best Part of Wakin’ Up™ Jingle in the Folgers Jingle Contest.

Here is how the Folgers Jingle Contest works:

• Submit a video of your best version of the jingle on the website from January 30th through February 27th. Your version of the Jingle must include the complete melody and complete lyrics of “The Best Part of Wakin’ Up is Folgers in Your Cup.”
• From February 27th to March 19th, we will choose 5 semi-finalists and each will have a mentor session with Chris Young before the online vote.
• From March 27th to April 24th, fans around the country will get the chance to vote daily for their favorite jingle. Every vote automatically enters you to win prizes up to $10,000.
• Finally, in May, one winner will be selected to win the grand prize of $25,000!
