The last few months of winter and starting into Spring was a rough time for my family! We kept passing around all sorts of colds, flu’s, and stomach bugs. My kids seemed to have caught the worst of all the germs that we were passing around. Between my son’s school, church, and play groups I think we were getting exposed to some super yucky germs. Thankfully I was prepared to help my kids feel better from all their coughs, colds, high fevers, and “owies” of being sick. For when Sick Just Got Real.™ for my family I always like to have Children’s Advil®, Children’s Robitussin®, and/or Children’s Dimetapp® on hand. I can always find these Pfizer Pediatric products at my local Target so that I can get my kids to feel better fast.
It is the worst when your kids are sick, and while the extra snuggles are nice I always want them to feel better as soon as possible. To help my kids feel better and fight colds there are always a few go-to strategies I use. First, I always prop up the head of their mattress so they won’t be so congested after waking up. We use a few thicker books under their mattress and it gives them just enough incline to help them sleep. I also always use a humidifier in their rooms to help loosen up any mucus that may be settling in their nose or throat. But both of my kids love my special “Get Better Drink” is what my son has called it. It is just warm water with a little lemon and honey, but they both love it when they are sick. The lemon gives a boost of vitamin C, and the honey helps soothe sore throats and coughs.
I think over the years my son especially finds it soothing to be snuggled up in bed with an extra soft blanket, drink his “Get Better Drink” and have a few books to read. But when my little cold and flu soothing tricks aren’t cutting it I am so glad that I can turn to Pfizer Pediatric products.
When my son had a really high fever and all the aches and pains that come with it I turn to Children’s Advil®. It is a great solution for kids as young as 2 and up to 11. Children’s Advil® comes in several great-tasting flavors, including Sugar-free Dye-free Berry, Bubble Gum, Grape, Blue Raspberry, Fruit and Dye-Free White Grape flavors. There’s also Infants’ Advil® White Grape, which provides unsurpassed fever relief with a syringe for easy dosing for children 6-23 months.
Children’s Robitussin® DM Day/Night Pack (Children’s Robitussin® Cough & Chest Congestion and Children’s Robitussin® Nighttime Cough) is a non-drowsy daytime formula helps break up chest congestion that has been formulated just for kids. My son always gets a really gross cough whenever he has a cold. His coughing makes it almost impossible for him to sleep. Sleep is what he needs the most when he has a cold and a cough. Children’s Robitussin® has the long-acting nighttime formula we need to help relieve his coughs and runny nose so that he can rest. Children’s Dimetapp® Cold & Cough also does a great job at tackling a child’s most bothersome stuffy and runny noses, all while working to relieve a cough.

When any of my 5 kids are sick we find it helpful (to shorten the duration) to diffuse essential oils, avoid sugar, and give vitamin c several times a day.
