We just moved into a new home this summer and we love it! I especially love that there is only carpet in the bedrooms. That does mean however that I do a LOT of mopping, and scrubbing floors. I have two kids who are super busy. Mopping and scrubbing floors is just part of my every day life. Especially since Halli is 2 years old, and home with me all day. That girl is tiny, but we joke around and call her “Hurricane Halli.” She blows through everywhere and makes such a huge mess! She is just a busy toddler exploring her world, but I swear she leaves behind crumbs and a sticky residue wherever she goes.
I could not wait to review the new Hoover® Floormate® Edge Hard Floor Cleaner. Since my floors really take a beating I was excited to see how it would measure up. The Floormate Edge Hard Floor Cleaner does the washing, scrubbing, and drying for you in one machine! It sounded like a dream come true.
We have tile in the kitchen and bathrooms, but laminate hardwood throughout the rest of the house. I like that I can use the Floormate throughout the whole house. It gently cleans sealed hardwood, vinyl, ceramic tile, laminate and marble.
The Floormate was super easy and quick to put together. I was able to set it up in just a few minutes. It also comes with its own 16 oz cleaning solution. There are two tanks in the Floormate. One for the clean water and the other is for the dirty water that the Floormate sucks up. The clean water tank has a 1 quart capacity and it is also the tank that you put in the cleaner it comes with.
I was really impressed with how lightweight the Floormate is. I could easily move it from room to room, and it pushed easily even around the most awkward spaces. I have always had a hard time finding a mop or vacuum that fits in between the toilets and my counters. This pushed around them so easily and did a great job cleaning!
There are two modes, one that is for washing and the second is for drying. After it has been switched into wash mode you push it forward and the SpinScrub® Brushes start going crazy fast! There is a trigger in the handle that sprays out the clean water and cleaner mixture. After just a few strokes of the Floormate my floors are sparkling clean! Then I switch it into the dry mode. The brushes stop spinning and there is major suction that sucks up all the left over water. I was so impressed with how much suction power it had. I was expecting some water to puddle around the edges, but all of the edges were all dry. The Floormate has edge-to-edge suction and I could really tell that it was sucking up all the water.
The SpinScrub® Brushes are able to clean floors from all angles. They really got down into all of the little spills around my kids table and picked up all of the stickiness. There was even a mean little pile of dried oatmeal that I had missed from breakfast. The Floormate powered right through it, and picked it right up.
After I have been through all the clean water it is super easy to dump out all the dirty water and fill up the clean tank again. I never have to worry about dirty water going back or staying on my clean floors.
The Hoover Floormate® Edge Hard Floor Cleaner is a life saver at my house! Especially with Hurricane Halli running around it takes all the handwork out of cleaning up after her. No residue is ever left behind and I am only left with beautiful clean floors. I love my new Hoover Floormate Hard Floor Cleaner.
Now that is what I need in this house. I HATE mopping.
Wow, I could really use one of these!
(The Hoover® Floormate® Edge Hard Floor Cleaner {Review} This floor cleaner sounds like a really good one to have in our home. I would use it in our kitchen and the two bathrooms.
What a cool vacuum! I’m really particular about having clean floors and this looks like it does a great job.
What great features! We sure could use this in our house on our hard floors! Sounds like it cleans well!
that looks awesome,i need a new cleaner badly
I just got hardwoods, looking forward to keeping them clean, so much nicer than the carpet was.
We are in need of a new vacuum, this one sounds amazing!
I don’t have hardwood floors but my son does. His two year old is a lil’ hurricane too so they could certainly use this awesome cleaning machine. It’s really nice! Thanks for the review. 🙂
