Walt Disney Animation Studios Short Films Collection arrives on Blu-ray August 18th! {& available on Digital HD/Disney Movies Anywhere August 11th}

My entire household is full of Disney fans. Me, my husband, Hayden who is 6 years old, and 2 year old Halli all love Disney. Our Disney movie collection is booming. We also have tons of Disney theme books, Disney character action figures, and stuffed animals. My family really loves sitting down all together, snuggling up on the couch together, and enjoying a good Disney movie. There is always something for everyone to love with a Disney movie. One of Hayden’s most favorite part of any Disney movie are the shorts. He has always loved them, and was actually potty trained with the Disney shorts Boundin’ and Jack-Jack-Attack on the movie Incredibles. We all know that when the Disney short films are on we are all to be super quiet so Hayden doesn’t miss any of it. I don’t blame him I love the Disney short films too. They are always so clever and the animation is amazing.

I tried to have Hayden tell me his favorite Disney Short from this awesome collection and he couldn’t decide at first. All twelve short films are really great. After some tough questions he finally settled on “Prep & Landing: Operation: Secret Santa” being his favorite. He loves Christmas time and those Prep and Landing Elves are really funny. He loved watching them be on a secret mission for Mrs. Claus.

Halli’s favorite short was of course “Frozen Fever.” Like lots of other little girls she loves Frozen. So when there was this Frozen short she was so excited. In “Frozen Fever,” it’s Anna’s birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but when Elsa catches a cold, her powers may put more than just the party at risk. We were all giggling at Olaf and the song in “Frozen Fever” is wonderful.

I absolutely love the short Paperman. The girly, romantic in me just swoons at the whole thing. There aren’t any words just wonderful instrumental music and it is in black and white. When a man thinks he has found and then lost and then found again the woman of his dreams he does some pretty creative things to try to get her attention.

My husband’s favorite Disney Short Film is “Feast.” It definitely one of my top favorites too. “Feast” is the story of one man’s love life as seen through the eyes of his best friend and dog, Winston, and revealed bite by bite through the meals they share. It is so real life and I think my husband may have really been able to relate to the whole film.
