I remember the Christmas about 5 years back when we finally decided we were going to get the boys a Wii. The Wii had been out for less than a year and the boys were just begging for one from the moment it came out. We were so excited that we had been able to get our hands on one and waited for Christmas to come. Then the day came and we woke up to no power. We couldn’t believe it. There was nothing we could do. The boys opened all their presents but not being able to set it up right away was so disappointing to them. When we came home from a long day with family we returned to a house with power. When the boys saw that the remotes required batteries they thought they once again weren’t going to play with their big present of the year but luckily, mom and dad were prepares and had a full stock of batteries on hand!
As parents we do everything we can to make sure Christmas morning is special. We all know what is most important isn’t under the tree but around it we still want to be able to spoil on children on this one day. Seeing all the cheers of happiness and excitement is rather thrilling as a parent and knowing you (or Santa!) were able to get that one toy they wanted so badly is actually pretty satisfying. Watching that happiness quickly turn to disappointment over something like 2 AA batteries can change everything.

Have you stocked up on batteries yet this season?
I always make sure to have extra batteries on hand every Christmas, it seems that so many items need batteries!!
Yes we always have batteries on hand. The kids go through so many with all of their toys and I don’t want them disappointed when the battery runs out.
oh my gosh yes!!! Stocking up on batteries for Christmas morning is so important! I swear every year we forget the batteries and one of the girls gets something that needs batteries. I always feel bad that I have to scrounge around for some! Great reminder to get them now so parents will be prepared!
We always keep a stock on batteries, and buy them through Amazon when there is a great deal, we always go through so many, especially on the holidays.
With two little ones, we are always stocked on batteries!! Good reminder because we all know what happens when the kids can’t play with their favorite new toy! lol
My husband has a thing about batteries. He hoards coupons and stalks sales like crazy! I guess I can’t complain, right? We do love the reliability of Duracell.
We always stock up on batteries for the holidays. Batteries are always needed.
Thanks for the reminder I have fallen victim to this before and it wasn’t pretty. That’s when we end up robbing other things of batteries like the remote LOL!
I always make sure to have extra batteries on hand in different sizes…. it never fails my kids get a gift from a relative and they don’t include the batteries.
the worse thing on Christmas is a kid with a toy with NO batteries,,happened to me once and wont again,I always stock up
