There are a handful of Disney movies that bring back a lot of childhood nostalgia for me, but most of them are princess movies. I remember vividly dancing around in my own “princess shoes” and thinking I was absolutely nailing the song “Once Upon A Dream”. I loved all of those cute forest animals that were helping Aurora meet the handsome Prince Phillip.
Now for a limited time Disney has let Sleeping Beauty out of the Disney vault! For the first time it is available on diamond edition Blu-ray™, and Digital HD!
It contains digitally restored picture and sound, a digital copy of the film, and a variety of magical new bonus features, including “Once Upon A Parade,” in which “Modern Family” star Sarah Hyland tells us the tale of Walt Disney World’s new Festival Of Fantasy Parade.

Other special features include “Art of Evil: Generations Of Disney Villains,” a legacy piece spotlighting Disney’s favorite villain animator and Maleficent creator Marc Davis, and “@DisneyAnimation: Artists in Motion,” in which Walt Disney Animation Visual Development artist Brittney Lee goes through the process of creating a three-dimensional sculpture of Maleficent, completely out of paper.
You can also download the Disney Movies Anywhere app and watch it anytime from there! My kids use the Disney Movies Anywhere app all the time on my iPad and we love it! I love that Sleeping Beauty isn’t just about a princess, but it is also full of action and suspense. My 5 year old Hayden loves it! He loves pretending to be the wicked Maleficent, and especially at the end when she turns into a terrifying breathing dragon.
He of course covers his eyes though for “true loves first kiss.” He reminds me often that “kisses are gross!” Halli is already obsessed with the music like I was as a little girl and dances around the room. I still absolutely love the music from Sleeping Beauty and can sing right along with it.
The extra bonus features in this combo are amazing! There are also a lot of really great alternate and deleted scenes. You can also “BEAUTY-OKE” and sing along to “Once Upon A Dream.” There are so many fantastic clips, like some thoughts on the Maleficent art work. Here is a little clip:

I love that I can now share Sleeping Beauty with my kids and they can make their own Disney memories. I think everyone loves sleeping beauty and imagining their happily ever after “Once Upon a Dream.” This would make such a great gift, so hurry and get it before it goes back into the Disney Vault!
Right now you can grab your own copy of Sleeping Beauty before it goes back into the Disney vault at Walmart, Target, or Amazon!
This is my daughter’s all time favorite Disney movie!
This is such a great movie. I will have to get this to share with my grandkids. Thank you for sharing
