Mornings are rough around here. I’m quite the night owl. When I get up it’s usually more of a stagger. My head is just in a cloud and it’s not until I have my first cup of coffee in the morning until my head clears and I can function again. Once that happens I can begin planning my day ahead. Having three kids home with me and job that still has to happen you can bet my days are filled. There is always so much to do and so much that never gets done. Thanks to my morning cup (and afternoon, sometimes night too) I have what it takes to get me through it all.
There’s only one brand of creamer I reach for when I make my coffee and that is Coffee-mate. Right now Coffee-mate’s being even more inspiring than usual with their new bottle design. Design star David Bromstad has partnered with Coffee-mate and Target, making a splash with limited edition bottle designs inspired by coffee and Coffee-mate. The new David Bromstad designed bottles (French Vanilla and Hazelnut flavors) will be available exclusively at Target stores nationwide.
Coffee-mate inspired me to make my kids a fun afternoon treat. Of course we were out of milk, butter, and packaged frosting and I had already promised them this treat! So I used that inspiration and made a yummy Vanilla Cream Cheese Frosting! All you need is:
- 1 Cup Powdered Sugar
- 1/4 Cup Cream Cheese
- 3 Tablespoons French Vanilla Coffee-mate Creamer
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and use your electric hand mixer to whip it smooth. Then apply to top of cupcakes and sprinkle with mini chocolate chips! Yum! Now, maybe some of that inspiration will rub off and inspire them to clean their rooms. A mom can dream, right?
Coffee-mate wants to know how Coffee-mate inspires you and helps you make a splash in your day!
Coffee-mate is giving away prizes for entering the #CMInspires sweepstakes such as $500 Target GiftCards, a year’s worth of Coffee-mate and a signed print from David Bromstad! Show a photo to win fabulous prizes using #CMInspiresSweepsEntry on Instagram and Twitter!

Those cupcakes look so sweet. I’m a black coffee girl, but I always stock up on creamer for friends.
Those cupcakes look fantastic! I don’t use Coffee Mate because I don’t drink coffee, but I’d buy it for that frosting recipe!
I love Coffee Mate! I have used it for too many years to count, but I never thought about cooking with it. Cool!
I’m not human until my morning cup of coffee, flavored with Coffeemate. I love that you used it to create another yummy treat.
We love Coffee-mate. Coffee just isn’t right without it. Our favorite flavors are French Vanilla and Italian Sweet Creme.
These look so yummy, really like the chocolate chips sprinkled on top. Love the coffee mate creamers, one of my favorite creamers.

I would have never thought to flavor things with creamer. What an easy recipe too! I pinned it for later. 🙂
I’m the night owl too, so I get it..those mornings can be rough, lol.
Those cupcakes and the frosting look delicious!! I’d love to try this recipe.
Nice substitute for the frosting, looks good.
I would never have thought to use coffee creamer for frosting but it totally makes sense. We don’t drink coffee here, so we mainly keep creamer around for hot cocoa. I’m definitely wanting to try your frosting recipe too.
My girls love cream cheese frosted carrot cake and gluten-free cupcakes 🙂
Those cupcakes look delicious! I need to pick up that bottle next time I am at the store, I’m always running low on Coffee-mate and that’s a cool looking design!
