Saying thank you is important. As a mom it’s one of the first things we teach our children to say to other people. Now that some of my boys are older I always make them do their own thank you’s so they know just how important it is.
Lately we’ve been getting into sending cards and photos electronically as way for the kids to keep in contact with our out of state family. We’ve even dabbled in sending out birthday invites and it would be great to send virtual thank you notes too!
I always try to get my children participate in the thank you notes after their birthdays. The issue is they have a lot to be thankful for usually and their hands and patience doesn’t. I don’t want the process to be something they dread or look down upon. I want it to be fun and something that’s important. How awesome would it be to send each classmate a small note with a photo of them together at the birthday by using the computer? I know my kids love any excuse to use it.
Recently, I was introduced to a site called SendThanks.com. It was really easy to register, just gave basic info, and I was on my way. I really liked that not only could we write a message and they let us attach photo, pick the paper color and even the stamp!
What a fantastic idea! This does look much more fun than handwriting notes, and it would be much easier to get kids excited about saying thanks.
SendThanks.com sounds like a great idea. Our family might use this to send thank you notes this year.
i’ve used this before for baby shower thank you cards!
