I love family time. I love traveling. When the two combine I’m in heaven. Every summer when it starts to come to an end we head north to Maine. It’s our end of summer vacation and we all look forward to it. We stay with family in a pretty central location so we can actually do quite a bit in just a few days time.
When I had to think about out family’s most recent favorite family memory I instantly thought of our trip. I’ve been swamped and haven’t had a chance to share it with you but we had so much fun! We stay in Wells, ME but we visit all the surrounding towns. This year we spent most of our time in both Kennebunkport and Old Orchard Beach.
I love being near the ocean so I always make sure that a big part of our trip is right front and center with the water even if it’s not the main agenda for the day. My boys love it when we just pull over in random areas and get out and walk along the rocks. Maine beaches are a lot different than a lot of the east coast beaches. They are filled with big rocks. The bigger the rocks the more they enjoy them. Don’t think that doesn’t include me. I love climbing the rocks too.
Since we’re staying with family the hubby & I usually go out once the boys go down since we the grandparents are there. This year one of the nights Dad wasn’t feeling to well and Johnny and I took off at 11pm to the beaches. We stopped at both Wells Beach & Ogunquit Beach and ran down to the water. We could see since there was a full moon but for pictures this was the best we could do with out iphone flashlight app. I totally missed a turn on the way home and didn’t get back until after 1am. It will definitely be a memory I hold forever. Johnny and I don’t get much one on one time alone anymore. I’m so glad we were able to share it.

Our Share What’s Good moment yesterday was enjoying Welch’s All Natural Grape Spread. I love meal time in the morning with Sawyer. He’s such a character! He loves using a fork and cutting his toast in these big squares not only made it fun for him but it also meant we got to still enjoy his white sleeves! Isn’t he adorable?

Been pretty ill and I got to watch my son’s first home football game on the hillside on a beautiful Friday night last week. Since I was not able to get into the stands to sit, I was kind of bummed. But, my son ran in a ball RIGHT in front of us and that was very cool. It was even more special that my older daughters, grandkids, my sister and brother in law sat by me at the game and kept me company. When your health goes kaput, you really truly appreciate those Good Moments even more.
