Aden + Anais

Since coming home from the hospital Mikaylee cannot sleep without being swaddled. It was a headache at first as we were using receiving blankets. It wasn’t until we started using Aden + Anais Swaddles that our Sweet Baby could finally snooze away without getting out within minutes. She really loves being swaddled! I think the size is truly what has been one of our favorite things about them. They measure 47″ x 47″ and thankfully we’ll be able to use them for awhile thanks to their large size.

When we would use the receiving blankets in the beginning I noticed my baby would get very warm so I would try to not put anything but a diaper on. The Aden + Anais Swaddles however are extremely breathable. Their fabric is so soft on my baby’s skin. It’s made of 100% muslin cotton and I’ve noticed with each washing it’s getting softer and softer! We have so many uses for these swaddles from nursing cover, car seat cover, blanket, and even use it for burping and somehow a traditional one never shields my husband.

Another thing we tried from Aden + Anais was their Mum + Bub Skin Care Hair +Body Wash and Ultra-Gentle Lotion. I love the smell of them! We waited to use them until she had her first bath which she absolutely loved!! She was so calm and relaxed and kept her eyes on me the entire time. She watched me as I washed her arms and I think she also enjoyed the smell of the body wash. I’m very careful not to get it in her eyes, but it is tear free! Once we took her out I used the lotion on her and she was so relaxed she fell right to sleep. I have found myself using this lotion daily after washing my hands as it smells incredible and feels great on my hands. It’s not at all greasy which I appreciate. It’s lightly scented with Australian Sandalwood – smells so yummy! My husband said he loves it so much that he’s buying it as soon as it feels somewhat half empty – he’s a fan! I love that I can use it for myself and Mikaylee. It’s free of phytoestrogen, parabens, petroleum oils, phthalates, gluten and soy. Since I have sensitive skin I’m sure my daughter will also so I love that it’s actually formulated by a leading dermatologist in NY, Ellen Gendler M.D. The key ingredients which are naturally derived hair and body wash: pawpaw fruit extract (Carica Papaya), coco-glucoside and Glyceryl Oleate (cleanses and moisturizes) and lightly scented with Australian Sandalwood ultra-gentle lotion: pawpaw fruit extract (Carica Papaya), Shea butter (skin conditioning agent) and lightly scented with Australian Sandalwood.
