Whoo Hooo! The warm weather is here and we finally pulled the boat out of the water. We’re hoping that we can finally put it in the water. With three kids now I have so many things that I need to make sure I have packed and ready so when we get a chance to get out we can go without a struggle. I try to always have bathing suits washed and ready and a bag packed and ready to go. Obviously I can’t have everything ready but if I have most of it prepped it makes it a lot easier to get out without wasting much time.
Here are some things that I always have in my beach bag:
Towels
I always make sure to put a spare in because with boys one always gets wet and sandy.
Good Sunblock
Gavin has the most sensitive skin. I can’t miss putting it on him. I always make sure to have a good sunblock for him. I love the spray wet skin kind. That way he doesn’t need to slow down.
Reading Material
The boys can play for hours on end. My husband ends up cleaning the bottom of the boat. I sit there twiddling my thumbs. I get a bunch of magazines that I subscribe to from super deals and never have time to read them. Now when they come in I put them in the bag.
Spare Clothes
When we go out we like to stay until the last possible moment. This means its cold on the ride home. If I have spare clothes they can put on the spare life jackets and ride home dry.
Mini First Aid Kit
I doesn’t have much. A few band-aids, ointment, bee sting stuff, the basics. I don’t use it often but if one of the boys falls on the beach it’s good to have.
This makes it so much easier to just grab and go and only worry about the cooler. Wanna know what stinks though? We get out there and I realize all I have are juice boxes and water as my choices.
