TGIF I’ve Been Losing My Marbles!

This week. Where do I even begin?

First off my husband has been away for a week. Which has been harder then I thought it would be. See, he works crazy long hours so honestly I didn’t anticipate it making a difference when he told me. What I hadn’t realized was the week it landed on. This week has been jam full. We started with the Halloween party at the school which luckily my best friend was able to help me with. We also had classroom parties, parades, soccer for both, guitar, band, prenatal appoints, etc… you get the point, right?

I love weeks like this normally but I just can’t do it on my own and while my MIL generally helps me out this week she couldn’t. Hubby usually takes care of one child’s soccer schedule while I tackle the other and then I do the rest- but just having that down time at the end of the night really helps.

Not to mention when my husband is not home I don’t sleep. On the average I fell asleep around 3:30 am and was back up around 5am. Throw in the fact that Gavin has been sick AND he’s having nightmares made the nights even harder. I spend the remaining time checking and rechecking doors and windows. You know that photo going around Pinterest? The one above is what I’m talking about. That was me for the past week. Even though every door was locked and dead bolted and each window checked and the alarm on both when home and not, I was still the lunatic checking behind doors and leaving the hallway light on at all times.

I still don’t know how my kids made it on time for the bus every morning fully dressed, ready, and breakfast in their belly!

But the real kicker of this week was this weekends consignment sale. I on the average put 300 pieces in each sale and sell everything but maybe 10-20 of them. I make enough money to generally cover Johnny’s birthday next month which helps a lot!

The sale is something insane though and comes together in just 2 days of volunteering of set up, two day sale, and a 3 hour clean up and you’d never know it was there. It has over 100 consigners and the rules are strict so almost all the items are like new. I always volunteer as you get 15% more in payment if you help. So worth it. Friday(tonight) all volunteers get in at 6:30 and consigners in at 7:30 for a private selling. Even though the public walks in on Saturday morning to a full supply you’d never know that it’s one of the busiest nights the night before.

Hubby is finally here but the craziness won’t officially be gone until November 1st! Both kids have the end of soccer this weekend. Gavin is to young to really compete so all the teams finish off with a day of back to back mini games.

Johnny’s team made playoffs this year and he’s really excited about it! We’re hoping the 4 INCHES of snow that’s on the playoff field hurries up and melts or it’s going to be an  interesting game.

Did I say SNOW? In October?
While the playoffs are supposed to continue on Sunday if we win Saturday but it won’t be 4 inches we’re complaining about it could be over 1 FOOT of snow that’s on it’s way Saturday night.

In the end this pregnant mama just really needs a break. So if you are one of the 1000+ people who emailed me over the past week and I haven’t gotten to you- I’m working on it. I promise.

    Wow.

I feel for you. I hope you get a long, long rest sometime soon. I can’t imagine how you are getting it all done but give you a virtual high five for doing it!!

Wow, you have been swamped! It’s must have been so chaotic without your husband around too. Glad to hear he’s back now and can help out.

I just sold a bunch of clothing and toys at a local kids consignment sale as well. I agree, it is so much work, but I did really well too and it was so worth it.

I can’t believe all of the snow you all have been getting. I hope you are staying warm!
