Wordless Wednesday Back 2 School

The boys are both in school. I miss them already. Johnny is officially a FIFTH grader and my baby is a KINDERGARTENER! Ack! Where did time go?

Here they are waiting for the bus:

Then Hubs & I took off and went to the school to make sure Gavin could find his teacher.

Β

They made it through day one:

Cute pics. Do they not do 1/2 day kindergarten anymore? That’s what I had, but I’m 31 and it’s been awhile. LOL!

  3. How sweet! Your boy’s look like they are the best of friends!

My youngest starts preschool tomorrow and my oldest started kindergarten 3 weeks ago. Time sure does fly!

  4. Its so nice they get to take the same bus.

  5. Stefany T says

So big!!! It is great that they will be able to ride to school together. πŸ™‚

  6. Awwwwwwww Check them out! I’m gonna cry! Big Brother taking care of little brother, and smiling!!! I soooooo remember when! I had two boys, and two girls, and the age difference made it big and little considerably. The boys were 7 yrs. apart, and the girls were 11 yrs. apart. So, they had to take care of each other.

  7. Mimi says

That is so precious! I had to take my boys to school today. Out of all the years I took photos, this is the FIRST time I didn’t get one of my kids at the bus stop.

  8. funny how our kids are in the same yr going to school. So sweet they get a bus ride. I have to drive mine every am. and pick them up.

    great pic’s

you’ll be busy at home with the baby before you know it. Enjoy it while it lasts it will fly by and everything you want to get done like organizing can be done while they are in school… atleast that is what I’m trying to do and I still have one at home

  9. Rob says

I love they ride the bus together. I wish Grace had someone to ride with this year (she is in Kindergarten). She will get to be the big sister to her sister and brother though! πŸ™‚

  18. Rebel Chick Jenn says

Aw…My daughter started the 8th grade this year and I am kind of already freaking out about high school!

  19. BusyWorkingMama says

At least he has big brother to help him out! Cuties!

  20. Aw, love the protective arm of big brother around the younger ones shoulder. That’s great that he’s there to help him on and off the bus.

  21. They do grow up way too fast don’t they? And yay for your guys getting off to a great school year.

  22. Kelly says

Aw, they’re such big boys now!

  23. That is cool that you got to capture them getting off the bus. For us, we live in walking distance to the schools so the only time my kids get to ride on the school bus is on field trips. Every one of them when they are in elementary school think that riding the bus is cool.

  24. How awesome that they get to ride the bus together! Hope they both had great days!

  25. Your boys look like well behaved gentlemen. You must be very proud. Thanks for the linky.

  26. Candace says

Great pictures! When my kids were bussed we used to do the same thing – drive to the school, lol. I hope they had great first days.

  29. Anne - Mommy Has to Work says

Those are awesome. It’s great that they can attend together!

  30. Awww…They look like the sweetest brothers ever.

  31. Great photos! I love the one with the big brother arm around Gavin – NOBODY’s gonna hurt his little brother.
Then you went to the school to see him off, I would do the same thing (love that photo BTW).
Really cute ones as they were coming home – looks like they had a good day, hope the whole year is the same way. =)

  32. Kayla says

Look at those young men ready and waiting for school!
Gaven looks so proud in that first picture πŸ™‚

  33. Stacie @ The Divine Miss Mommy says

    Cute boys!!

  34. Oh my, how cute are they!

  35. Great photos of their first day of school! Mine started as well and I miss them too. I enjoyed the quality time with them over the summer.

  36. Whitney says

You got some great shots, but that bus blew my mind. That probably sounds weird, but our buses are so old & outdated. That is one cool lookin’ bus, haha. I think it’s awesome that you met your son at the school to make sure everything went okay!

  37. Heather Mentzer says

I can’t believe it’s already that time again. I’ve got a kindergartener, a first grader and a second grader going this year. Your boys look so cute!

  38. Bobbie says

Looks like they did well!! Very cute!! I have a fifth grader too, and that is middle school at our private school. I am SO not ready for a middle schooler!!
