Last year my husband’s grandmother died as a result of her Alzheimer’s. It was a heart breaking event for our family. I have spent more then half my lifetime celebrating with his family and this was the first time we had to deal with death together.

A month later Hubby’s cousin was telling us about the Alzheimer’s Walk and wanted us all to participate. So we named our team ‘Hilda’s Heroes’ and made it a plan.

We made it a family event and we all got involved. This year we’ve all decided to do it again. So, next weekend our family will be at it again looking to help the Alzheimer’s Assoc. next weekend.
