Wordless Wednesday Blueberries!

Last week I took the boys blueberry picking.

We had planned on each filling a milk jug but there was a huge bee problem at the field. We were instructed to be very careful because the bees were INSIDE the blueberries and people were getting stung.
They weren’t kidding.

We still ended up with quite a bit though!

  32. MMMMM, I love New England blueberries, they are so sweet and flavorful this time of year. We have already gone through our season down here in Florida and I miss the fresh ones.
Can’t wait to see what you make with them… if you can get the kids not to just eat them all plain. TeeHee!

  33. no wonder folks were getting stung! those aren’t bees…they’re a type of yellow jacket (thats why they were feasting on the berries and not the flowers) and they are NASTY aggressive little buggers….on their best days!
