At “Prom”, every couple has a story and no two are exactly alike. For Nova Prescott (Aimee Teegarden), it’s a classic tale of opposites attracting when she finds herself drawn to the guy (Thomas McDonell) who gets in the way of her perfect prom. Share the laughter and the drama as secrets are brought to light, seemingly steady relationships unravel and new romance catches fire. Get ready for this hilariously heartfelt date with destiny featuring a hot ensemble cast of rising young stars and cool bonus features. There are hundreds of nights in high school, but there’s only one Prom!
Is it bad that from the moment I saw the previews for this movie I wanted to see it? I know I’m thirty years old and my proms are far behind me but I was one of those kids that truly enjoyed her high school years and knew with Disney behind this tale that it was going to be a great movie. I loved that this movie didn’t focus only on prom. It dealt with other issues such as relationship problems that all couples in high school face such as cheating and college.
In my opinion Disney nailed this movie on realness and how kids really are. We saw the different levels of cool and how some aren’t even recognized throughout. I love the courage that Disney gave this girls. The strength they had to stand up for themselves and not allow to be used or mistreated.
PROM stars Aimee Teegarden (“Friday Night Lights”), Thomas McDonell (“The Forbidden Kingdom”), Danielle Campbell (“Prison Break”), Yin Chang (“Gossip Girl”), Nicholas Braun (“10 Things I Hate About You”), Jared Kusnitz (“The Secret Life of the American Teenager”), Jonathan Keltz (“Entourage”), De’Vaughn Nixon (“Sonny with a Chance”), Nolan Sotillo (“Corey and Lucas for the Win”), Cameron Monaghan (“Corey and Lucas for the Win”) and

This movie was a huge hit. We watched it as a family while we waited for Hurricane Irene to roll on in. Johnny really liked the movie as did I. Gavin of course lost interest fast but that is to be expected at this movie isn’t really made for his age group. My husband thought it was corny but surprisingly stuck around til the end. Although, he did make an announcement that he is truly hoping that this baby I’m carrying is NOT a girl because he saw how real the drama is. I, personally, thought it was hilarious what he saw versus what I saw.
