Join Mom Spotted in The Read and Play Summer Fun Community with the Blog Frog & Random House!

I’m super excited about this brand new project I’m working on with the Blog Frog. When I was offered the opportunity I new it was a perfect fit for us this summer. See they are all about keeping the reading going this summer. We know the last thing our children want to do when they finally get on vacation is read so we need to find a way to make it fun. The Read and Play Summer Fun Community wants to do just that! This community will be great for me as a mom to be able to find books that will take my ten year old to far off places and learn tricks to get my four year old more into it. As a community leader I’m really excited to learn along with you. I’ll be kicking off some great discussions that pertain to me and my boys and I’d love for you to give your advice, suggestions, and of course your opinions! There are several other community leaders whose expertise blows me away and I’m really excited to be among them and even hope to learn a thing or two!

This community will be a place where you can discuss learning techniques, struggles you’re experiencing, triumphs you’ve accomplished and so much more!

To kick this all off we’re having a party! Join me for a Live Chat Launch Party 6/30 9-10pm EST to celebrate summer reading! Of course there will be prizes we’ll be giving away! Over $100 worth of gift cards and Random House’s summer titles! So come and join in on the fun. I’ll be there and really hope you will be too!

What has me really excited? Random House will be donating one book every time someone comments in the community. So please, please head on over and leave us some comment love. You’ll be having fun and joining in on a great cause. What could be better!

See you tomorrow! Make sure to be there!

I have a ten year old daughter, and I’m always trying to look for new tricks to getting her to read and enjoy it! I loved reading as a little girl, and it’s starting (thank god!) to rub off on her. This community that you write about sounds like a fabulous idea. Thank you for the inspiration!

Great mission. I believe in this completely.

I have a different experience with my son though….I give him a book and then I don’t see him for a day and a half till he’s devoured it. When we recently moved, it was real important to him that we stay close to the public library. He chose to not even have a tv in his room…only wanted a larger bookshelf.

  3. sounds like a great program. I’m sorry I missed the launch party
