Dr. Scholl’s Custom Fit Orthotics Inserts

It seems the older my husband gets the more I hear how much his feet hurt. He’s tried everything from more expensive work shoes to special shoes and nothing has worked. Then I saw one of those special machines at a CVS near my doctor’s office and thought that they would be a great idea for him. Then I saw the price tag. They were $50. That’s almost as much as his work shoes themselves and passed on the idea but still mentioned them to my hubby. He told me to keep my eyes out for a coupon and if I got one he was definitely interested in giving them a try. Then I was contacted by Mom Central to try a pair out and thought how perfect! We can give them a try and see if they work for us. My husband of course was thrilled and told me he wanted to review them. We jumped on the Dr. Scholl’s website and read about the Custom Fit Orthotic Centers. There is a spot for you to put in your zip code and they’ll tell you where you can go. Unfortunately for my husband none of them were along his regular work. With his work hours being as long as they are he was never able to make it to one.

Instead this gave me an opportunity to try them out. I went into the machine and walked through the steps. It took about 5 minutes and it told me where my pressure points were and gave me a code for the perfect fit for my feet. At this point I was getting them just to fulfill my my review requirements and didn’t think I really needed something like this. I was irritated with my husband because he could go thirty minutes out of his way at some point during his day after having me agree to do this. When they came in they sat on my counter for a couple weeks thinking what am I going to do I live in flip flops. Then it dawned on me to put them in my walking sneakers. I’ve been trying to go from walking to running but my shins hurt when I do it. The inserts aren’t the full length of the shoe allowing you to wear them with more shoes. They are thick though. Personally, these would work best if you went up a half size from your normal size. I felt a difference the moment I began wearing them. Not only did my feet feel better when I didn’t even realize they needed it but they also helped my posture which helped me feel better overall. My husband now moans that I got his pair but I told him to grab this $7.50 Mail in Rebate and get his own pair.

“I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Dr. Scholl’s and received a Custom Fit Orthotics from Dr. Scholl’s to facilitate my review.”

  1. I’ll have to tell my husband about this. He is a surveyor so he walks all day long, 6 days a week for 10 hours plus a day. This would be great for him. Hope he’ll actually buy some.

I just can’t find somewhere that has the machine to tell you what number scholl you are. There used to be one in our Walmart but now none of the Walmarts out here in Phoenix have one. Any ideas of where one would be in AZ?
