If you’ve never heard of it, it started over on An Island Life.
I ask a question….I answer it….and then you answer it too!
Sound like fun?

So, for this week’s question:
So, for this week’s question:
Q: Does your child have a TV in their room?
A: Both my boys have their own TV’s. They are small flat screens but have strict rules. Gavin is only allowed to watch 2 movies a week on it. Friday & Sat. night. Johnny can watch on weekends and after his homework is done and before dinner. However, he hardly ever wants to be alone in his room during the week so it’s mainly on the weekends.

Well, my children are all grown, but when they were little no, they did not have a TV in their room that I can remember.
I should my first TV was when I was 17 and a senior in high school. Hubby bought it, he was just my boyfriend then and couldn’t believe there was only one tv in our house.
Nope…but then we don’t have a TV in the house. Doesn’t mean we don’t watch TV…we just watch it on the computer over Netflix. 8 a month vs 30 for cable. But they don’t have a computer in their room either. They watch out in the living room.
No, he doesn’t. He used to…
Mine do. My oldest two never really watch in there though. They would rather watch tv in the family room on the big tv. My little one loves to watch Spongebob and the Disney channel in his room. But mostly I think he likes messing with all the buttons on the tv.
The kids are not allowed to have a TV in their room . We only put a TV in the hall so all have to take turn to watch the different shows that they want.
No TV in Princess Nagger’s room…yet! But she has no trouble taking control of the TV in the living room. 😉
Spring Awakening
I don’t have any kids yet, but I had a TV in my room when I was a kid.
My boys do not have a tv in their room and I don’t ever want them to. I would rather watch tv with them. We had a tv in our room growing up and a computer – I wish my parents hadn’t allowed it. Maybe we would have spent more time together.
But I like that you have rules on your boys’ tvs.
Oh no, my son is only 2 – if I did that, he’d never sleep! 🙂
My children are grown. Yes, they have TV’s but, they are not home much to watch.
Have a great Friday!

No, we do not allow it. We have two rooms with TV’s. So she can watch it in one of them.
My kids don’t have a tv in their room and they wont. We will share the tv in the family room.
Enjoy your weekend.
nope and I don’t plan on it, but that being said my kids are all 5 and under.
My kiddo has a tv in his room but doesn’t have cable hooked up there. He has a video game station but we keep the controllers so it is monitored very carefully.
My oldest does. However, we have parental restrictions installed so that she can only watch certain stations.
Abby doesn’t have a tv in her room. She really doesn’t need one, because she can watch tv in the living room.
Our kids are 10, 12, 14, and 17 and they all have tvs in their rooms. We have parental controls on all our tvs – meaning a password has to be entered to watch any movie with sex or nudity or rated R.
No. We have 1 TV and that’s it.
Only the teens not the little ones.
No! I will not allow it for my little ones. However, my step daughters have one in their room. They are 12 and 15. I did not think it was the best idea because I don’t think it promotes family time. Since I am not their “parent”, I told my husband my feelings and let him have the final say.
