Tony Hawk: Shred- Big Air! Bigger Tricks! Xbox, PS3, and Wii

For the past few years Johnny has been begging us for a skateboard. As a mom I still haven’t been able to bring myself to get one. I get so nervous of all the things that could happen to him. To ease his let down last Christmas we bought him an Xbox Tony Hawk game. However we never got the board and he was still pretty upset with us. Since he enjoyed the game and played it quite a bit

GET ON BOARD AND GO BIG!
Experience some of the biggest air and tricks seen in an action sports video game. Tony Hawk®: SHRED’s motion sensing skateboard/snowboard allows players to control the action with their feet to perform amazing tricks in the game. Using the board as a skateboard, clear huge gaps, hit massive drops, and ride out roller coaster grinds. Using the board as a snowboard, speed down mountain peaks filled with breathtaking big airs, crazy spins and incredible flips. The game’s intuitive controls and multiple difficulty levels make it easy to pick up and play. It’s time to SHRED.

A Bigger Way To Shred!

Gritty Surface– Provides the traction you need to ride like the pros.
Smart Sensors– Smart motion sensors let you push for speed, pull off amazing grabs, and set up for bigger-than-life-tricks.
Advances Design– For precise and consistent control.

What I really like about Tony Hawk®: SHRED is that you get both skateboarding and snowboarding. We own many games for both the Wii and Xbox for both but none of them actually have both in one game. This is a a great option and a great savings. The board is durable and it more then just a board. All the operating buttons are on one side and there is also a sensor on each side. No matter how you move the board the set will recognize it.

My favorite thing about Tony Hawk®: SHRED is that it sits right on the floor. We got one of those boards for the Wii that attaches to the Wii Fit board and it is such a pain. Nevermind, the fact the Wii Fit board is mine and not the kids. I don’t really want them using it to begin with. The consistently jump and it will break if they do that. Plus, they can’t move. The Tony Hawk®: SHRED is so much better! You can move it anywhere you want. In fact the room you have the better! Anyone can use it there are no restrictions and it such a ball. Just a note: if you sneak it out of the box to test it out- Its nearly impossible to get it back in. I loved that it included the batteries in the box too. It never even dawned on me beforehand that it would need them and there is nothing worse then giving a gift that requires batteries and you don’t have any!

We looked at getting the Tony Hawk board that came out last year but we don’t have any of the newer systems! One of these days… =) Thanks for the review.

These are great graphics! Our lil one is too young for this yet, but I’m sure he’d love this someday.

My brother would absolutely love this! Safer for him than a real skateboard too.
