The New Adventures of Old Christine – The Crazy Things We Do For Our Children!

One thing I really like about watching ‘The New Adventures of Old Christine‘ is that it always makes me laugh. The relationships they share while at times are frustrating beyond belief always find a way bring you complete comedic relief in your own life. Sometimes watching after watching ‘The New Adventures of Old Christine’ you have to wonder how in the world does Old Christine get herself into so many crazy situations!
As a Mom myself I have been in some really crazy situations, but when I had to actually think of something that was comparable to the Old Christine I was stumped. That is until I remembered when we on vacation using a family members condo in a gated community. They had a nice pool and hot tub surrounded by a wrought iron fence. Problem was during the day it was really crowded and since everyone there was 55 or older they really wouldn’t want Johnny running and jumping all around them. So when he asked me at 9:30 pm to go swimming I figured why not. I thought since once we were in the pool area we’d be fine, even though it closed at 10pm. Wrong. When we decided to leave around 10:30 we realized not only were others locked out but we were locked in! Since it was a wrought iron fence we couldn’t climb it. So there me and my nine year old stood. No cell phone, nothing to help. Eventually we had to stack chairs up and jump the fence. It wasn’t the safest thing to do but man was it comical for Johnny! He loved when I was stuck at the top unable to go back but scared to swim over in jump. Of course he made sure to let everyone know about it. That is just the type of situation I can see Old Christine getting into with her own son.
