SOYJOY. They are now fruitier, moister, better.

Right now SOYJOY is running a contest on Second Chances on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/soyjoy)! Right now you have an opportunity to win $1000 just by letting SOYJOY know about a time you made a bad first impression but through a second chance you were able to have a joyful ending. ALl you have to do is tell them in 100 words or less or do a short 30 second video! Then make sure to have all your friends vote for you!
This contest has already begun and will stop October 3, 2010 so don’t wait!

Most people are familiar with soy but are surprised to hear that it usually loses some of its nutrient content during the process of becoming a soy product. That’s because in most soy foods, only part of the bean is extracted and used. With whole soy, however, the whole bean is used. Nothing is discarded, which means that whole soy retains all of soy’s natural nutrients.

Ok, so I have to admit that I was incredibly weary on trying these from the start. I’m not a soy person or even a big health food nut. I do however try to find options for my family that are healthy, tasty, and something my family asks for.
If I wasn’t intimidated by these already when I took them out of the wrapper I was even more so. They were this long brick that reminded me of tofu. Ok, what tofu in my mind looked like. I thought to myself there is no way these are going to taste good. But the smell, the smell of them was so good! The banana smelled the same as homemade banana bread. How could something that looked so unappealing smell so amazing.
So I went for it. I figured I can’t write an honest review without truly giving it a go. Needless to say the kids and I devoured them all in no time. They tasted great. Sweet and satisfying as well! There was nothing brick-like about them! They were chewy, fruity, and something we all enjoyed!

Flavors:
Banana, Blueberry, Strawberry, Mango Coconut, Apple Walnut, and Berry.

Every SOYJOY® bar is baked with whole soy and real fruit for all-natural, longer lasting energy. That’s a smart snack choice. The fun part is finding your favorite flavor.

You can purchase SOYJOY bars basically everywhere at this point. Now that I’ve tried them I’ve been seeing them all over the place. They average around $8 for a box of 12 of them.

I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of SOYJOY and received samples of their nutritional bars to facilitate my candid review. Mom Central also sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.
