Cranberry Pork Loin Roast Slow Cooker Recipe

Now that the hot weather is gone and I can start cooking again I’m all over it. One of my favorite tools in the kitchen is my slow cooker! I actually have two crock pots. One small, mainly for meats and another for large meals. If you don’t have two I’d recommend it. I love having the different sizes. I hate pulling out the large one if I don’t need to but it’s great to still have on hand. I love crock pot recipes so I’ll be sharing more of them!

Take a 2-3 lb. Pork Loin, cut in half and place in crock pot.

Take 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper and sprinkle over meat.
Next, in a separate bowl take a 16 oz of canned whole berry cranberry sauce, 1/4 cup honey, 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves, 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg, and 1 teaspoon grated orange peel. I didn’t measure the orange peel. Wisk together.
Pour over meat. Set on low for 4-6 hours.
Here is what it will look like about an hour or two into the process. I like to turn the meat every now and then.
When the meat reaches 160 degrees you can take it out and slice it. I places my slices in an open bowl and spooned the liquid and berries out to serve.
Look good doesn’t it? Now what are you making for dinner?

I need a new slow cooker. That recipe looks scrumptious and not to over the top for me. If I have to have a ton of ingredients I usually will shy away from a recipe. Thanks for sharing.

I like slow cooked recipes just cause I don’t have to be I front of the stove for so long an I think the sweetness of cranberries will off set the saltiness of the porkloin.

This sounds amazing and so very festive. I am definitely going to try this. I bought some pork roast at the store yesterday and was wondering what to do with it. I love cooking in my slow cooker. My hubby loves things that I cook in there as well. Thanks for this great idea.

And it makes the leftover pizza I just ate for dinner seem a little less good….lol.

  12. This sounds like a GREAT recipe to try for the winter holidays. I love SLOW cooker recipes because you don’t have to stand over the HOT stove all day sweating. Not to mention I am sure the pork loin is SOOO moist. I will have to attempt this recipe this month. Thank you for posting.

This looks fantastic – I even have everything including the 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves, 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg if I use my pumpkin pie seasoning mix – think that would work?
