Birthday Express Super Mario Bros. Party Supplies Review & Giveaway!

I love planning birthday parties. They are just so much fun! I’m big on finding the perfect theme or letting my child pick their favorite character to center the party around. Gavin has been loving Mario this year and while he’s still hooked Mickey Mouse I reminded him that he had Mickey last year so when I showed him the Birthday Express website and he saw the Super Mario Bros. Party Supplies he was instantly hooked on having a Mario Brothers Birthday Party!

The most important thing about every party is the cake. I had really wanted to make a cake for him after all the specialized training I had received but we were just coming back from not just one vacation but two! With one day in between the two and two days before the party I knew that I wouldn’t have time. I searched all over for something to put on the cake and had no luck. When I saw the Super Mario Bros. Placemats that were available I knew this was the perfect topper for my cake. They also made great entertainment for the children as they sat and played with them when they were done eating. Birthday Express had so many different party supply extras to build off the actual party packs I was able to really get everything I needed in one spot!

One of my very favorite products for the party was the Super Mario Bros. 18″ Pull-String Pinata! Kids go so excited once you pull one of these out! They know that it is loaded up with candy and toys and they just can’t wait to get what is inside!
I’m not a big fan of the idea of the actual pinata. Small children don’t have the best coordination and can easy lose their balance sometimes…not to mention waiting for a room full of three and four year olds to pound this open would have taken forever! I simply stood on top of a chair and asked all the kids to circle around. They all grabbed a string and on the count of three were told to pull!

Can you believe we had enough kids for all but two of the strings! We thought for sure this bad boy was going to be opened up in no time. Nope can you believe it was the very last string pulled that opened up this Super Mario Bros. 18″ Pull-String Pinata!
Since I already had spent quite a bit of money filling the pinata I didn’t want to spend additional money making goody bags. So I used the Super Mario Bros. Empty Favor Boxes as their goody bags and handed to them each one before starting the pinata!

Sadly my camera had broken at the end of my vacation and I had to rely on others for all my photos! I didn’t get my normal shots of everything but wanted to let you know that not only did all the products come in incredibly handy but also gave the party the exact touch I was hoping for. Gavin who this was done for was thrilled to have Mario all over the place!He loved the blue cloud balloons that came with the Super Mario Bros. Deluxe Party Pack. I highly recommend purchasing from Birthday Express! I didn’t have to run around to all different party stores trying to piece things together. I got one box in the mail and it had everything I needed!
The supplies were all quality pieces and coordinated perfectly! I couldn’t ask for it to be any easier. Just returning home from a vacation and having to run around like crazy this not only relieved so much extra stress that I would have had wasting time and money running around trying to find everything but it also made it so that I could enjoy my family while we were away knowing that Birthday Express had made the key element of my party a one stop shop!
