The Kalani Crib offers an elegant contemporary style and converts from crib to toddler bed. Use the front and back panels of the crib to eventually create head and footboards on a full-size bed. Full size bedrail kit is not included.
When the crib came and we took the pieces out I knew I wouldn’t be able to put this together myself. I also knew that even though Johnny is my handy man when it comes to putting stuff together he needed help so I got my husband to give him a hand. I stayed out of their way while they built it. It probably took them about 45 minutes total. I snuck in once and saw it while it was in the headboard stage!
Oh! Isn’t she pretty! I absolutely LOVE this crib! It’s stylish, timeless, and definitely a quality piece of furniture! I loved the true espresso color and the rick wood grains that were in the wood.
I love the sleigh style on both the front and back pieces on the crib. It definitely adds to the stunning character of the collection.
When choosing which height you want it at the levers are really easy to maneuver. When Hubby walked me through it after he had it together he had me switch it from the lowest to the highest level with him. The boys old crib didn’t have this feature and it was horrible as you basically had to unbuild the crib to change it. This feature allows you to easily switch the level while keeping the actual crib intact.
The spring base and support are solid and great as well. I love that the springs are smaller and only around the edge. When dressing the crib it didn’t pull on any of the fabrics and allowed the crib skirt to nicely fall around it.
Every detail right down to the feet of this crib was looked into. You can also nicely see the wood grain pattern in the wood here!
I was also sent the Kolcraft Pediatric™ 2000 Crib Mattress! I highly believe in the Kolcraft brand and knowing I can get my favorite brands through this site always makes me happy. I wanted to show you this crib completely styled. I used the Summer Infant Organic Sleepy Safari Bedding Set. The neutral colors in this set look amazing against the espresso coloring of the crib. Together this set makes me yearn for a baby badly! Hopefully sooner then later I’ll be able to give them a true test run!

I love that when you purchase the crib it comes with everything you need to switch it over to a toddler bed! My boys old crib didn’t switch over like this and I’ve looked at other cribs that charge an additional $100 for the pieces. Having them included is a definitely penny saver!
You can also then switch it over to a full size bed! I love this! However, when I looked into it I was surprised to see that it was only available in three finishes. Although the pictures show it in Espresso its not an option. If you do decide to purchase the conversion kit it will cost you $109 discounted from the original price of $144!
