Last Friday I went to pick Gavin up at the elementary school where his preschool is located. I was standing out front with the rest of the moms as we waited for the kids to come out. Suddenly the school secretary came running out the main entrance telling me I had to come with her because my son was hurt after a bad fall of the play structure. Don’t ask why but it never even connected that it was Gavin. I just immediately assumed that it was Johnny.
It was Gavin. He had thought he could do the fire pole off the top of the big kids playground and let go just a little it would let him twirl down it and go faster but in reality he learned that by letting go just meant crashing to the bottom.
We had to go to the hospital and get his foot x-ray’d because the Dr. was worried he broke his foot. Test results came back that nothing was broken but he was still miserable!
(ps. If you love the room theme it’s Olive Kids!)Gavin spent the entire weekend off his feet. He was so upset all weekend and it just broke my heart! Monday we got him to start bearing weight on it again.
Today he beginning to hobble around like a silly little boy refusing to be stuck in one spot! Hopefully soon he’ll be back to his good ol’ self!
