I was super excited when I found out I’d be hosting a Dole Frozen Smoothie Party. It was just in time for Gavin’s Birthday and knowing all the kids were going to be running around outside they would be the perfect refreshment for them!With so many people and so many different frozen fruit options available from Dole I knew I’d have lots of options. If you’re not a smoothie regular I want to share a secret with you:milk, juice, yogurt, and fruit is all you need!
Now this summer I’ve been playing around with my new blender quite a bit and I’ve come to realize the key is two things. Orange juice for that tangy taste and FROZEN fruit because no one wants ice in their drink.
I like to experiment around and not only use different fruits but to also switch up with different yogurts. Dole has all different kinds of fruits making it easy to play around. Our favorite selection has been sliced strawberries as you can use those for just about everything. We used them in a sangria mix and the frozen factor was great at keeping the mix chilled. Gavin also loves throwing a few slices in his morning orange juice as a fun treat since he saw me looking up the sangria recipes and I of course didn’t tell him what it really was!
When making smoothies and other drinks in your blender it is always important to put the liquids in first so it’s easier for your blender to grab the rest of the mixture.After you have some liquids in, grab a fruit choice.Dole has many:

Simply add ice cream, milk, and fruit!
Grab a fun glass and fill. Add whip cream and some chocolate sauce. Yum!These cups were great as every child at Gavin’s party went home with one and a coupon for a bag of frozen fruit to make their own recipes.
Or if you have any other kind of cup with a lid just twirl the cup on its side while using the chocolate syrup. You don’t really taste it much but it adds such a pretty finished touch!
