So, for this week’s question:
Q: Do you celebrate your birthday?
A: Tomorrow is my birthday and I’ll be 29. The age 29 just blows my mind. I swear I was just 25. Where did the time go? I swear the older I get the faster the years go by! Weren’t we just celebrating Christmas?
I’m used to make a huge deal out of my birthday. I was never much of a holiday girl but my birthday- that was MY day! I love birthdays and I make really big deals out of them for my hubby & kids! When hubby turned 30 his mother & I planned this huge surprised party. The kids parties we pull out all the stops but for some reason I haven’t really “celebrated” it since I was a kid. My bosses get me a cake every year and that’s my only cake. lol.
Why is that? I make that person’s favorite meal and dessert the night before since we go out to eat on the birthday. I would love someone to cook or maybe even just do the dishes for a night. I’ll take the dishes over cake anyday.
