We’re all born with differences. Yet, we also have resemblances.
What drives me nuts are the people in public places who don’t mind their business. I actually had someone last week point out that my boys were handsome. That they must each resemble their fatherS.Um. What?
I had no clue how to respond. She clearly stated it so that it was clear she presumed my kids had different fathers. Not that I have a problem with that but my kids have the same Dad. Who just says something like that to a complete stranger.
See I am a light skinned blond Polish girl. Hubby is a dark Portuguese boy. Instead of combining out coloring each son took after one of us. Gavin is fair skinned blue eyed and blond. Johnny is dark. Dark like his Dad. The funny thing is once you get past the coloring the boys actually look a lot like the opposite parent you originally think. Johnny looks SO much like me and Gavin his father. I am like that with my parents too. I have my mom’s light coloring and my fathers features.
