Do You Wear Glasses? How about Contacts?

I can’t believe I’ve been been wearing eyeglasses for almost 2 years now.
I remember when I was younger loving my perfect 20/20 vision. I used to always say I was going to be just like my Dad when I grew up and never have to wear glasses.
Then the older I became I realized I was getting these bad headaches. They started shortly after I got my license. Always at night.

It turned out that I was straining my eyes. The lights hurt my eyes.
My mom recommended that I go in and get an eye exam. I thought I aced it.
I was wrong. The next thing I knew I was being told I needed prescription eyeglasses.
What?!? No! Not me!

I remember walking out to where they had rows and rows of glasses. There were so many choices. I kept trying to see which ones I liked but my eyes were dilated and seeing wasn’t the easiest thing. I had wished I had asked my husband to come with me to help me pick. I knew these would be on my face regularly. They would be something that people would remember.

Now, that I’m used to my prescription eyeglasses they are just a fact of life. I would LOVE to invest in some contacts but I fear putting them in and taking them out. I worked for an Optometrist and I loved getting the samples of the colored contacts in. I used to play with them but getting them out was so hard for me. I remember once popping a set in before a night on the town and trying to get them out at the end of the night and being in almost tears.
