It has tons of bright colors, removable & interchangeable pieces, and even plays music!
The Disney’s Baby Einstein & Kids II Around the World Play Gym is more then just an infant playmat. This infant gym offers multiple stages of play which gives it much more bang for the buck. You’ll be able use this from day one up until 12+ months of age!
At first glance you see play gym for a baby, but won’t you don’t see is its versatility. This play gym offers many different possibilities! The Around the World Play Gym will allow baby to discover animals, sights, and sounds from 5 different regions of the world: Africa, Asia, Australia, South America, and the Polar Regions
First off it is super easy to transport from either room to room or even place to place! It simply folds in half with a few simple hook changes and can slip right over your shoulder. You can even remove the bars altogether and fold the mat right up! If it gets dirty simply throw it into the washer!
The play gym has many different features! Two of my favorite ones are the motion activated or long playing globe or the large mirror for self discovery. The picture above it what your child will see when they look up from the mat. See how they even took the extra step to add taggies and brightly colored animals all around too!
This play mat comes with 7 toys that can be repositioned anywhere around this mat. I love that they cover several different animals and all the accessories are done in bright and cheerful colors. The globe plays nine world music melodies and comes with volume control which is truly every Mom’s blessing! The songs are from the new Baby Einstein World Music DVD and features lovable Baby Einstein characters from around the globe. I love that you can set it to just play continuously or to play when baby moves. It will require 3 AA batteries that are not included. The mirror adds additional excitement! Its a flexible non glass mirror so baby is always safe.
All the additional accessories are attachable by either links or straps. The link toys can be places almost anywhere on the play gym since there are built in loops throughout the mat and soft padded rail. Since all the links have areas to link to other items they can even link to themselves. When you fold the mat up you can also keep the rails together by using the links to hold them together.
Since the additional toys are attachable they can easily be used in many other areas like your crib and stroller! So not only can you use them on the mat you can take them everywhere giving you on the go fun!

This is possibly going to sound crazy. We had and LOVED this play mat for our first couple of kids. After taking a little break, we’re now expecting our third in a couple weeks. I pulled out all of our old baby stuff and we’re somehow missing the globe part of our play mat (which is the best part of the whole thing!). I can’t believe the musical globe is missing! So I’ve been scouring all corners of the internet to find one somewhere to no avail (which led me to your review). I feel like I will be lost without this magical toy that can entertain an infant to toddler for 30+ minutes at a time! So, I am wondering if you have seen one of these somewhere. Or if you by chance still have yours and are looking to sell it to a desperate mother! Please let me know! Thanks!!
