Today my hubby gets a gold star! As most of you know I waited far too long to start our boys Christmas Shopping! I went out thinking I could get my hands on all the Mickey Mouse stuff for Gavin and it wouldn’t be a problem. Then the other day after scouring every store I could find that carried toys and calling every Toys R Us, Babies R Us, Walmart, and Target in a 100 mile radius with no luck I realized the Mickey Mouse Choo Choo that was on the top of his list was not JUST this season’s hot item, but it was this season’s HOT item we weren’t getting.
I posted my disappointment on Facebook which automatically posted it to my Twitter. Instantly calls for help came pouring in. I had readers willing to ship and Nicole who lived almost 2 hours away let me know she found one and put it on hold for me.
I surrendered and realized I *was* the mom who was going to drive 2 hours one way for a $50 toy and back again.
Then my husband came home last night with this in hand…

Asked me if it would make up for not having the Choo Choo. Of course I told him I was still heading out there for it but this was definitely something he would love! He had found it at Kmart.
He searched everywhere he could think of and when he stopped into Sears for a tool for Johnny he took a stroll through the toy isle. It was tucked on a bottom shelf, misplaced on the side.
Who would have thought? Sears!
So, today my hubby rocks! I so appreciate him doing some crazy searching for me! Especially knowing how much he had to of hated going to store to store like that when he hates shopping…in Christmas season!
