When my last son was born I was determined to breastfeed him. I didn’t know much on it and I didn’t have a lot of facts. I was unsure of it all literally up until I gave birth. I was only a teenager when i gave birth to my first child and i just wasn’t comfortable enough with the whole thing and bottle feed my first. Since I had a C section I spent a week in the hospital and they let me have a great one on one meeting with a breastfeeding coach. She answered many of my questions and concerns and gave me not only her professional opinions but her personal ones as well.Before our visit ended she stepped out of the room momentarily. When she returned she had a Medela Single Deluxe™ Breastpump in her hands. She gave it to me and told me it was one of the lower costing breast pumps. It didn’t have any of the bells and whistles but it was reasonably priced and was electric. She said she trusted Medela most and I took her word for it! I went home just a couple days later with that pump! It was a blessing in disguise! Had I been more of a pumping girl I would have surely stepped it up to their Freestyle® Breastpump but the Single Deluxe™ Breastpump served all my needs at that time.
One thing I didn’t have at that time was a comfortable bra for sleeping in. There was no way during that time that i could go without one but my regular bras just bothered me and my maternity ones didn’t feel supportive enough as i was using the same ones during the day. I would have loved owning one of Medela’s Sleep Bra‘s then. They carry them in white and nude colors and right now they have a limited special mid-blue color! They are thin and lightweight. They have no underwires that will leave you uncomfortable during the night. Its 95% cotton and 5% spandex and is washer and dryer safe!
