I’ve been consumed!

I am not a reader. Not on any accounts. I often find it hard to get settled into a book, to make connections with characters. When I was little I read often. I think I red every Babysitter’s Club and Sweet Valley book that was written. As I got older I often didn’t find the time, or at least wasn’t willing. I recently started reading a series because of the recent flying I’ve been doing and wanted it more to fill the time.

This past weekend we left for Maine. We go up every year. My hubby’s grandparents spend their summers up there. I wanted a book for the long drive up and I was annoyed because the only book I had to read was ‘Twilight’! I had been given the book months ago but literally had absolutely no interest in reading the series, nevermind that one book.

However, I thought of the long drive ahead and figured it was better then nothing. That was before. OMG. Literally. I have never in my life been so consumed with a book. I have never felt so much compassion or been so fascinated with a book before. The second I was done with Twilight which was only hours after I began it, I needed to get to a store to get ‘New Moon’ although I couldn’t find a store. Hubby finally went off route for me (not too happily) to find a Walmart. I started it and finished it the same day. I stayed up until the early hours of morning and wished I knew a store open to find the next.

I just have to know if you’ve bothered to read these books? Did you find them absolutely captivating as I have?

When I was told the books were about vampires I was immediately turned off from the idea of reading it. Not my thing. at. all. But you find yourself so captivating with their love story that you just have to keep reading. I reeled for hours after reading each book. I reel now for the next. I guess I should be thankful their is only four of these books so that my husband & kids will once again see my face. So if you miss me in the next few days…you know why.

I need to go see the movie!
