I recently became a BzzAgent and my first BzzWorthy BzzKit came in the other day from OFF! Insect Repellent! I was excited to review the product because I trust the name! I also have a wooded backyard. If you have a wooded backyard you know what I am talking about. Add the fact that we have a brook running down the side of our property and now that means we have a wet wooded backyard the bugs are horrible. There are nights that we would love to stay and hang outside but the bugs are so bad we can’t stand to be outside.We try bug spray but often dislike spraying it on our children because of the chemicals and well, no one likes the smell of it. period.

This cool little clip-on runs for about $8.99 and the refills come in set of 2 for $3.99. Each fan offers about 500 running hours or about 40 refills. The refills themselves last for about 12 hours each. The disks should be used within a 2 week period. It can be clipped directly onto you, your bag, or be placed flat next to you.
~My Review~
At first I thought the clip would be annoying to wear but its lightweight which means you forget its there. The clip is designed where it will actually lay flat so the fan can work properly. I liked that I didn’t have to apply anything to my clothing or skin. There was no smell that made people want to stand 10 feet away from me. I thought $3.99 for 2 refills was a bit on the steep side. I’ll definitely buy them with coupons. This is perfect for when hubby goes out on the boat in the morning to go fishing when the mosquito’s are at their worst!

~The Facts~This PowerPad Lamp runs at $9.49 for the starter kit which includes 1 reusable lamp, 1 mosquito repellent pad, and 1 candle. The refills are $5.49 and come with 3 repellent pads and 3 candles. The candle and pad are good for about 4 hours each. It will protect people in a 15’x15′ area. You can get this as a standing lamp or as a hanging lantern. The lamp can protect an area 15x better then the average Citronella bucket.~My Review~
While the idea around this is a good one I don’t like anything with a flame. Maybe its because of the house fire maybe its because of the kids. It does stand well and sturdy so I don’t think anything would happen but the idea of a flame around just bothers me in general.
It did work well and I like that it looked nice and decorative outside unlike the ugly silver bucket candles you see everywhere. I feel the prices are better to the value with this product. Its a great option for groups as it covers a larger area. If you can get over the candle factor this is a great product.

The Mosquito’s are horrible where I live and with West Nile Virus I hate going out to do my gardening now. I used to love it but no matter how much spray I use they drive me nuts. Plus I smell like bug spray all day. Even though I take a shower every morning I have to take another at night to get all the bug spray off. If the clip on fans worked they would be worth the cost to me. Thanks for the review now I just wish I hadn’t run out of ink so I could print me out the coupon. Closes store for ink is 35 miles one way so it will be a few days before I can pick some up.
